Great photos and a very interesting read. I suppose Irish passports are used so much by the Mossad it is understandable why the guy made the mistake. Syria looks great too, you must be nearly burnt out with ruins at this stage

Cheers Denis but I'm saving the incriminating photos for facebook!

It's pretty weird over here, everyone is trying to rip you off but no one will try to rob you! You always feel safe on the streets

Petra come clean house for €8
Petra... I couldn't help but think of our little polish cleaner :) I want to see some photos of YOU and of course, the jesus sandals. Your blog is taking shape now. By the end of the trip you'll have an amazing collection. I really love the photos of Mount Sinai but maybe thats only because I'm a "religious freak" :P Hope you said a few prayers and remembered some of the ten commandments - "thou shall not get mugged or lose one's passport".

Moses would be proud of you
Moses would be proud of you doing that pilgrimage, the hike looks fantastic. I presume there is an easier way to get there rather than a long luxurious bus ride. I will put that on my list of places to visit if I can get there without the bus ride. Hope you get your Ipod sorted. Mind yourself

Great piece of writing my long lost friend! The photos are beautiful and I'm delighted you went to see the Tutankhamen. Fiona will be thrilled to hear you've seen hijabs and berkhas.
