How interesting Who would have known that I would see this strange young Swiss man Beat in Aussie land Melbourne just a couple of weeks after you. What isn't strange is that you are drinking loads of Rakia Zoe. I'm sure you'll be drinking much grappa in Italy and plenty of beera when you get back to Australia.
Jealous Wish I was going to Morocco.. you are lucky.. its a place of beauty and wonder. Make sure you take loads of pictures there!!! It is really colourful there.... And the Atlas mountains are great to see....
Have Fun!!!

Introduction to DM Probably my fault she hasn't heard a lot of the earlier stuff. I introduced her to certain albums of DM only. Music as we know comes down to taste and often age. I first got into DM when Just can't get Enough was released. That song annoys me and has dated over time. I found that a lot of tracks prior to Violator have dated substantially over time. Perhaps we are post-Violator Depeche Mode fans. Tho the one exception to that rule is People are People. (Love it!)
I know!! I know, it's shocking that I do not know the old DM material... I admitted to this, knowing very well that someone out there would find it shocking. I find it shocking too, because I do in fact own many of their newer albums and have been listening to them religeously for years. Actually, I'd listened to these older albums in a music store once, but hadn't liked many of the songs, so didn't make the purchase. I regret not having given them a chance, now that I couldn't sing to these songs at the concert.

Vietnam Hey Zoe!!! Really nice to read your story and have a look at the pictures. It makes me wanna go back, even if the people aren't always that friendly or trustworthy. I hope you're having a good time in Bulgaria. Let me know when you're somewhere around Belgium/Holland! Enjoy! Cheers Sylvie
Been around for a while I'm just shocked... There are people like me who cannot go to a DM concert driving around Europe or US like some others. I wish I could because I've been into DM music for 16 years. BUT - if you go to a concert and you do not know a material from as early as 1993. That is totally shocking for me. You do not know A Question of Time??? You don't know Never Let Me Down Again??????????????????? "The blonde guy" ????????????????? PHOTOGRAPHIC????????? Photographic is NOT a song for die-hard fans. It is a must-know if you go to a concert.
spontaneity pays off Hi Zoe,
well your unplanned Laos adventure proves that spontaneity pays off - keep exploring and posting jealousy-inducing pics. (Although I suppose you'll be settled down to some home-cooked dinners and painting for a while.)
Alls well back here... Another semester down for those of us still within the university community. Melbourne winter coffees, books, all that homely stuff.
Happy holidaying, xxxx Nicki and Martin.
India, Wow! Hey Zoe, looks like the experience is breathtaking. Great photos, I particularly like the one with the cow poking his tounge out at you! Keep safe, be in touch soon.
