Being considered as hopeless romantic by many friends of mine, it’s was about time to make myself on the way to the heart of the beast Romance, namely – Provence. Once you arrive in Avignon, one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Provence, and leave the Central station behind, right in front of you start/ end the well- preserved walls build in around 13-14th centure and currently surrounding the whole town. Once you enter the town, you may have the feeling that the time in here stopped sometime in the past - cobbled streets , leading to many many labyrinths ( easy to lose, but no better way of discover the secret beauty of the town) ,the many colorful boutiques, Alfresco’s painted and flowery decorated balconies of houses , the carrousel in the old ... read more

What is the first thing to do if you happen to have a layover of a day in Singapore? Yes, exaclty , extend with another day at least if you could, because Singapore has so much to offer and so much to see and do... With appr. two days in Singapore ( from afternoon of 24.01 to the evening of 26.01), I didn't had much time to waiste, but heading the streets of it straight after check-in in the hotel. I stayed in a little boutique hotel in the Kampong Glam or the Arab Quatere, an urban area centrally located in the heart of Singapore, offering from everything I like - from the many middle-eastern, Greek and Turkish restaurants to the gift shops, art galleries, textile and parfume stores, transferring you in the above mentioned. Ever since the book and movie “Eat, pray and Love” was released, a trip to Bali, clime up very fast in the must- see- places in my list. So here we go, I had accepted my last contract on board a cruise ship, starting my journey in Italy, had a quick stop- over in India and then three days in Bali. The morning of 16.01.2015, when it was the third and last day for our cruise ship in Bali, the plan was made of leaving the port of Benoa and stopping over in Denpassar ( Puputan Square), driving to Ubud ( in the heart of the island), visiting some of the main sights in there, including the rice terraced fields and then ending the morning at the beach of Komune beach, before driving back to the ... read more

Asia » Burma » Yangon Region » Yangon December 29th 2014

Myanmar, considered as the-want- to-visit- country for many tourists around the world for several decades back, is slowly opening –up . Great news for adventure travelers including myself in love with rich history, culture and traditions of that area. During the stop-over in Myanmar, the only city I could explore a bit was Yangon and here is how I saw it for the time being in the end of December 2014. Walking the streets of Yangon (the biggest city in Myanmar) was like walking though the historian past of the country and National Geographic - all in ones. From the golden pagodas, various markets selling everything from local fruits/ vegetables, though the textile and clothing typical for the area and the jewelries – great idea for yourself or presents to the beloved ones, food and tea ... read more

Middle East » Israel » Tel Aviv District » Tel Aviv July 24th 2014

Travel in Israel is like something delicious you try- once you get to taste it, you don’t want to leave it and you want again, and again, and again or simply leave it… Having been traveling in Israel 4 other times, ( never to Tel Aviv) always came back home amazed with the contrast in landscapes, the nice and curios people I have met, the colors, aroma and rhythm on the streets , the diversity in religions, languages, cuisines, music, dances etc. After visiting Jerusalem ( twice), Haifa and Dead Sea, it was turn to Tel Aviv now. Booked the flights and hotel spontaneous- the traveling time was set for end of July 2014. 5 days of sunshine, street performers, shopping and… Israeli cuisine were awaiting me. Stayed in a hotel on Ha- Yarkon street in ... read more
