Hi there! I'm back! This morning we did the 5km running. It was hold in my school and we would run to the town and go back there. I ran 5km on the running machine at home and it took me 33minutes. That's horrible! Austin is a good runner and he is in the cross country team. He can do that in 20 minutes. Connor is not as good as Austin, but he can do it in 25 minutes. Mom used to run marathon, and she ran a lot before she hurt her knee. She did 3 marathons in 6 weeks. So this year, she will be running the 5km for the first time. I started pretty fast. I did 1 mile in 7m40s. But there was a big hill after the first mile. I ... read more

Hi! This evening we went to wantch a baseball game. Actually it's a minor league but it's the last home game in the season for Rochester Red Wings. And there were fireworks after the game. Home team did horrible. They lost by 0 to 10. But at least there were a lot of scoring. And I really enjoyed it. But the home team was generous. They hit over 15 balls to the audience And those lucky guys can get signature from the players. That's really cool. Two of them were so close to us. Tomorrow we will do the 5km running in Geneseo and the whole family is going to do it. See you tomorrow!... read more

Hi! I've been in US for almost a month and I started to miss China, especially Chinese food. So I'm cooking today. Actually I don't cook very often in China and I'd no idea what the meal would be like before I cooked. I chose to cook noddles because everyone could have fun during cooking. I was a little bit tired before cooking for I was woking out. I ran 5 km in 33 minutes and some pull-ups. Because we have a 5km race this Sunday. I will enjoy it. And Li Feng will probably be there. Oh, I just remembered that I sold three tickets for the breakfast in my school next Saturday to Li Feng and that means I can make 12 dollars and 3 hours of community work. He invited me to ... read more

Hi, there. Long time no see. Today is my first day at school! WOW! In fact, the school I'm going to in US is a very small one. There are 500 students in total from kindergarten to senior. That means I have only 50 classmates or so. Here are the courses I chose. AP calculus, computer programming, participation in government, AP US history, physics, PE, international business and English. Actually I had a lot of trouble with my locker. So I had to take all of my books with me all day, and that's really terrible. But fortunately, I figured it out after school! But I don't like it very much because it's pretty hard to open it and we got only 3 minutes to go to the locker, get the books and rush to ... read more

Hi. It's me again. Good news! I've already got to my host famiy's house. It has been a very long trip and makes a little bit tired. I flew from Lanzhou to Beijing to Shanghai to New York to Rochester. Then AFS stuff picked me and took me to a town named Perry to get orientation. And I finally met my host family this afternoon. They showed me the house and told me something I should pay attention. And they took out a cookie that they've prepared to welcome me. They are really sweet. OOOps! I can't even keep my eyes open. But don't worry about it. I'm in my comfortable bedroom and I will take a good sleep. SEE YOU!... read more

Hi there. This is David. Now I'm at the Shanghai Pudong Airport and I will leave for US in an hour. I'll be staying in US for a year as an exchange student. I will go to school there and experience different cultures. It's exciting that I just got my a message from my host family. They've been looking for a host family for ages and luckily they got one just before my depature. I will be really concerned if I get on the plane without even knowing where I'm going. There are five members in my host family--the family I'll spend the next ten months with. Mom,Sandy Peters, 43, is a teacher in a university. Dad, David Peters, 38, is a lawyer. An elder sister, Kate, 19, is going to university now, so she ... read more
