thanks in advance for replying ! :)
what a nice story cheryl! it was a very special trip I think.
I was sick the few days after. Luckily, I could recover on the beautiful isla del Sol.
From there, I think, you could see our big enemy Huayna Potosi.
I never asked, but could you see the lake from the summit?
Today I conquered a little (very little) mountain brother of ours: Huayna Picchu!
Where are you at now? Enjoying Bolivia?
Congrats on reaching 6088m! My boyfriend and I climbed Huayna Potosi back in December and understand the incredible feeling of reaching the top - I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Unfortunately only 4 out of our group of 7 made it - I honestly can't believe they call it an "easy climb for beginners." Great job, enjoy the rest of your travels :)
I enjoyed your Peru post. It made me want to go back there. Our blog is giving away a free night at The Point hostel in Peru or Bolivia. If you are interested, check out dirty-hippies.blogspot.com
Continued fun on your travels,
Eric

Wow! Good lord, that must have taken you forever to come up with, well done Cheryl! I wish I had the energy and talent to write one of my entries like that. Great!

Another great blog entry Cheryl - I really must get the courage up to "do" Japan - that is a properly foreign place. Loved the mirijima gate pic - all grey and cloudy but still very atmospheric. The "random moments of kindness" but have been pretty memorable. Hope you're enjoying wherever you are - I'm Indonesia/Philippines bound on May 13 Woohoo!. Christian xx
Congratulations on your high number of blog viewings! :) If you have time, come and tell us your secret, on the following thread.

Again, thanks for the brilliant blogs, especially for the photo from the summit of Fansipan. We never got to see it, as our view, having done the whole bloody climb in one day, was this: http://www.travelblog.org/Photos/4467420
Slightly less inspirational!
Brought back all my amazing memories about Japan! Thank you for your wonderful and well-written blog - I spent six weeks in Japan in 2009, and am glad to see others feel the same way about the friendliness and overwhelming generosity of Japanese people... and their objective yet sensitive approach to the Hiroshima bombing.
Luckily I was in Tokyo for the sumo season, but I think you got the better end of the deal!
The best yet Quite the most beautiful and stirring blog yet! I am thrilled by your comments for had you not been on the emotional roller coaster that Asia seems to have been then what would have been the point of ever travelling and leaving your comfort zone? Well done gal. I'm proud of you and hope there are many wonderful surprises left on your tour of this beautiful, awesome world...
Hoo, Beijing I also went to Beijing in October last year. And these pictures are very familiar to me. I still can not imagine how the people created this beautiful buildings so many years ago.
outstanding! Your blog was outstanding! Easy to read and follow with all of the details. It almost seemed as if I had been there. I most appreciated your last sentences which has been my thinking for many, many years.

thanks! Glad I was able to put China on the map for you ... the Shanghai hostel is 'The Captain' which you'll find in your lonely planet. There are two but I'm at the one on Fuzhou Rd. It's 55yuan per night, 50 with a YHA card. Not much of a backpacker vibe but like you see ... a superb view!
After 10yrs of working for cops in Manchester, England it's time for a little soul food and to remember that there's a great big beautiful world beyond these borders.
Like most people, some of the trip is light hearted and some to see the richness, culture, history - and favourite for me, the natural beauty of the world. If you have any comments on how I can improve my blog please feel free (deleting it is not an option!!) although I have felt that some of my entries have been a little too long to be enjoyable so will now blog a bit more often with a little le... full info
