I was just in Munich July 28-August 4 (2009), and we went to the Volkesvest in Pasing (my friend lives there), and reading your blog entry made me remember everything there and the great week we had! This is a great summary-I had pretty much the same experience. Thanks for posting this!

Opera house
I was able to tour this opera house during the day and it was truely beautiful to see the backstage was pretty cool because it was built so long ago. I did not get near as good of pictures as you did. Take care, miss you.

Trisha, Love that you are going to get to Austria. Hope you get to see Saltzberg..truely amazing ..Vienna train system is great as well. Hey ladies, I am loving the updates and pictures - keep 'em coming! I wanted to tell you that the bus tour in Munich is actually pretty worth the time (at least it was 10 years ago when I took it) - sit on top and it's a fun way to see and learn about the city.
