Totally Agree Now Hi Little
I have now been with an Indian family for over a week and totally agree in the daily haggling life process that the women of the house go through, it is just so exhausting, however. Thank you for your real comments. Regards Tess
Much appreciated Thanks Rani, I write how I am experiencing. I think that my journal is not like others of whom I have read and seen fabulous photos. I needed to write what was happening to me. So I really thank you that you found it at the least an interesting read. I studied up as much as I could, but nothing prepares you for the ground truthing. Many blessings on your travels my friend. Tess

Happy New Year Ipswich QLD AUSTRALIA Hey Catherine thanks for your much appreciated comments. I am today recovering from food poisoning. So my New Years in Rajkot was explosive to say the least. The fireworks and krackers were going off outside while I was death warmed up inside the quarters. Today I am still seedy, but able to make my way to the cafe and let people know I am fine.
Lots of love
Tess

great write up Thanks for such good info regarding lone woman travellar as I shall be one in 3months. I am sorry you had some tough experiences but I (I'm sure many other women too) will benefit from your experiences and knowledge. Yours is about the only blog that gave a real flavour of what it is like to travel alone as a woman and significantly you gave names of places where you can shop/relax without been hassled, so thank you. I look forward to more of your blogs and pictures.
Enjoy your travels and take care.
some I agree as a single woman you might be targeted in India. Just remember, in India they try to con you. In New York they "mug" you. And oh yeah, Indians go through the haggling every single day. Its not cheating, its a way of life. No Indian woman goes home from the market thinking, damn i got cheated. Somedays the Indian lady gets a good deal by haggling and some days she doesnt. Thats the way of life. So take it easy and enjoy. Anywhere in the world it is about money. not just India.
Hi to all of you who have chosen to read my travel blog. Although I haven't left Australia yet (9 weeks to go), I am busy kramming, learning about sites such as this..totally perfect to let my children and my friends know what I am getting up to... and educating myself on homeopathics vs vaccines etc, plus the monumental task of flights, accommodation, reading and researching places I will explore, travel visas and insurance. Let alone the housekeeping task of having chooks, goosy and my dog looked after while away. I am exhausted already. This is my first travel experience and while I know I ... full info
