Book of Kells and the Irish Celtic Monks Hi Lori,
Wow, sounds like you have had a wonderful trip. We saw the Book of Kells many years ago. Then about 6 years ago we saw one of the remote sites where supposedly monks worked on parts of the Book, on Skellig Michael (off Dingle, SW Ireland coast). Like you, we enjoyed the more remote parts of Ireland. The west coast, Arran Islands, many other beautiful places. Hope you have a good trip home. Dave
Lovely! Yes! I agree with Donna. It's so cool to be able to see your "journal" for this great, empowering adventure, Lori! Thanks for taking us all along for the ride with you. We'll look forward to our rendezvous in Dublin!

your day I have to say that I am enjoying your daily entries. I have a trip to London, Scotland, and Ireland planned for next August, and am writing down some of the places that you have been so we can go there too!
?? Sense of Smell ??? Dear Miss L,
I believe all that Guiness you've been drinking has distorted your sense of smell. I've had more than one whiff of burning peat ... our sense of smell is definitely different!!! So glad to hear you're having such a great time.
Pat
Nice post today, Lori! We're leaving for Ireland in a week! Glad to hear you are already getting comfortable driving on the opposite side of the road. We can use the encouragement!
Hi Beautiful! Hi Beautiful Lori, Cori and I just read through all of your AWESOME blogs and it took us on your journey from the time you left us here in London. I must say we really miss you in London and your beautiful American Love and the kindness that you so freely give.... right up our alley and it was a blessing to have you here to brighten London Up! I understand the 'Stiff' that you now know first hand and I say that with all due respect to the British 'Stiff Upper Lip Programming Syndrome' God bless them all... I love being loose and free though and us North Americans certainly have that mastered. Thank God for North America (Canada and the USA!) is so much more easy going and of course Bermuda which is my home as well... Well Lori I am so thrilled that you are living this dream and making life expand love. There is nothing more beautiful to see and feel in our hearts for you. Thank you for coming into our lives. With Warm loving thoughts we miss you everyday! Please be safe and no more curbs ok!!!!? All our Love & Light, Paul & Cori

The Welsh My kids are from a Welsh background, and I'm from an Irish background, and I think I can assure you that the people will be MUCH more jovial!! Have fun, I'm so enjoying the posts!!
Pack up Grandma! Just kidding...yes I'll be coming home, but after London, this is so much more me! Hope you are enjoying the travel blog. I'm having fun doing it.
Spot on! We're right here with ya, in a cyberspace kind of way, Lori! You'll Master the roads once you're in your countryside zone. Keep the pics coming (glad to see you mastered that one already!)

traffic rules good luck in the car. It may seem pretty haphazard but everything is laid out for you in the Highway Code: from what it means if the sign is a certain shape to who to give way to and when... that said, driving in London is 100x worse than anywhere else in the country, so don't be too worried!
Tallyho!! I could hardly wait to get home from work and read about today's adventure! I love clocks, too, sounds like an exhibit I would love to see. I'm glad you got to see what you wanted, and are now on to hopefully more peaceful pastures :) Good luck with the driving, can't wait to hear about the next chapter!
What about a show Don't leave without picking up a show. Head to TKTS in Leicester Square or if you don't have time you can do it online at http://londonshow.entstix.com (if the show doesn't have a deal by it then don't book it as they charge a fee for the rest). You can get some great deals tonight for shows like Phantom, The Commitments or Billy Elliot. Have fun and enjoy "the countryside" tomorrow!
Absorbing it all in... Living vicariously thru your travels, Lori....taking notes since we'll be there in a few weeks, ourselves. I'm particularly interested in your adventures report in the English countryside. Hope that you're able to post pics soon! xo TeresaRO
Rescue Yourself So the damsel would do well to rescue her own self! I got a kick out of that, for many reasons. Glad to hear you figured out the tube, and the joys of beer at lunch while on vacation. Have you met anyone interesting? What did you think of the crown jewels? Have you seen any antiques you'd like to bring back home?
Hi Billy! No antiques....yet. Going to look around the small villages today and see what I can find. The English people are very dower...they never smile and everyone smokes....not for me :o) The food has been wonderful though....vegatarian has so far been very easy. Hugs.
