We left Adelaide on the 29th at 12.10. Had to fill in a entry form for our first stop over. We decided to fill in 2 forms as we were unsure if it should be Hong Kong or London.....well it was suppose to be China.....the man just looked at us and shook his head.....good start. Killed 10hrs on the plane watching movies and eating watching movies and eating and eating. Fed at 4pm and then we had to put all the blinds down. Was nap time...Bit strange Had a 2 hr wait at HongKong airport. Easy to kill time as it is huge. Had a smokers room. Guys in this smoked filled room puffing away. Flight to London was about 12hrs. Well the count down to when we fly out is happening.......Only 11 sleeps to go......Had a bon voyage party friday night with of few of the work mates..... family..... even a couple of patients came. It was a good night. Weather was great. Cant believe no one got their camera's out for the whole night except for Karen who took a couple of photo's at the end. Have just spent a three days at Christies Beach getting in a bit of walking in with our back packs on....something we haven't done a lot of...... First day did a walk along the esplanade with the backpak on. Great ......overcast very calm and warm....perfect for walking. Stopped and started....walk....coffee....photo's....coffee.... walk...took about 5hrs Second day did another walk along the esplanade.......went further this time .....weather still great.....walk ....coffee...photos....coffee ....walk....photo's.....trust me its all part of the training......took about 6hrs Third day we decided to drive to Mclaren Vale and walk the Coast to Vine...shiraz trail.............It was a great walk all the vines are all still green....still had great walking weather....about 20k's in all..........we found a labrinth that was built out of ston... read more

Have been doing lots of little walks along the beach, around the Torrens, up a flight of 32 stairs 10 times at the moment. Thats 320 stairs. Got a feeling the Pereness are going to be far greater than 320 stair so will need to increase that. The next couple of months the short walks hopefully will be daily with a few long day walks in between......Constantly adding to my list of things to pack. Only suppose to carry 10% of my body weight....Am sure it will be more than that ...no more than 10kg tho....
