A Kiwi Stranger! Hi JMc. You don't know me, my name is Jess and I live in NZ. I used to work in the Whitsundays on Daydream Island so I know the area well, beautiful place! I'm thinking of passing back through there in September 2007 (your blog came up when I did a 'google' search for employment there) Can you please tell me if September - December is the busy season? I've forgotten ... it would be great to get some tips from you on seeking work again, as it was back in 1997 (I was 19 then) when I was there working on Daydream as a waitress. My partner will be in the area working on a private yacht, so my goal is to also work for a few months then we will meet up and explore a little more of Aussie before returning to NZ. I hope you can help, but if not I understand (I'm not even sure if you are still there!) I'm not a weirdo stalker - I promise! Just wanting a few tips from a 'Whitsunday's local'. Take care, Jess.
Nice... Nice place Jill.
I could have taken either the exec job at Raratonga Resort or come here to the palace. Not sure I made the right choice now!
Travel well, take care.

I'm from Singapore I'm from Singapore, and it's great reading about my home country. There are some great sites that really showcase our country. A work in progress is www.nakedsingapore.com, which shows Singapore from a local's perspective. Great read!
If you can't be good be careful Oh Jill - I am SO jealous! You are going to have a brilliant time and I very much look forward to reading your updates. I cannot believe I was doing the same thing two years ago - I would do it all again tomorrow (if I win the lottery haha). Take good care of yourself and keep in touch. Lots of love, Fi xxx
Nice views. Looks like all play no work but I bet that is not the case. It's a demanding job taking care of guests and some can be terrible.
Hope you are feeling better and up and about again.
Can't believe the amount of snow you have for this time of year. Beats us!
LOL

Must have been taken after the Thai meal and a few fruit juices as my brothers eyes are slightly glazed - Liz's always look like that!
Off on my second year of travels before the big 3-0. Leaving on 6th June and spending 7 weeks in Brazil, Bolivia & Peru before settling in Canada and having to find a job!... full info
