Escalator rage
Hey mate, nice blog entry! Never been to the Deutsches Museum myself, but it looks like a fun place to visit. I have to agree with the escalators, to me it's one of the most infuriating things imaginable when people just block your path instead of doing the old 'stand right, walk left'. And when you want to pass and tap them on the shoulder, sometimes they turn around and look at you weird. WTF? Just get out of my way and stop wasting my time. Here in East Germany it's even worse. They think they have a right to stand there, and don't see why they should let you pass. By the way, the correct word to use is 'Entschuldigung' or 'Entschuldigen Sie, bitte' (which is more polite), but 'Entschuldigen' on its own doesn't work, except as a verb, with a small 'e' at the beginning, then it means 'to excuse'. Sorry to be so German about that :) Cheers, Jens

Cheers mate! Fixed that. Don't know how I got it wrong. I must say it 100 times a day in my job. My escalator rage stems from working in a shop with 18 or so escalators!

HaHa! Great blog!
That Easter Sunday weather was pretty weird. We were surprised to wake up to a snow blizzard, that prevented our Easter garden celebrations. I presume, the photo title 'snow entering Munich' was taken on Easter Sunday, as all the other days of March and April had no snow at all as far as I remember. :)

It was Easter Sunday. couldn't believe it. I think by the Tuesday it was 17c. Crazy weather!

Your research paid off
You have a lovely Villa.....it looks perfect. Great food photos, especially the Sea Bass. Yum. We would have enjoyed ordering the flaming kabob. We've enjoyed following another one of your journey's.

It is always good to tell on yourself.
Loved hearing about the horse cart and taxi. It made us chuckle. We've done something similar in the past. Looks like a great town.

Hey! Thanks for reading the blog and leaving a comment. The whole idea that the landscape was formed and lived in by fairies and then throw in a hot air balloon ride for good measure makes it a fantastic place.

Sunscreen and Hummus!
Got my hands on the sunscreen. Luckily what you see didn't hurt. I think the flash on the camera didn't help me either. As for the hummus, it was brilliant!

Thanks for the insights
We have had the same impression of Istanbul that you had prior to your visit. I think many people have given that impression so I was surprised by your description. Whoa, we need to get you some sunscreen. Looks like unexpected dinner turned out nice. How was the pistachio hummus?

I read about your struggle with your audio guide, and so sorry to hear about that, the thing is that the digital card you had , has 2sides , one is English , the other is russion , so if you want to hear narration in English u need to use the English side , unfortunatly it seems u used the Russian side.

You're funny
Hey, I was laughing reading through your blog. Of course, Wadi Rum interests me so much and is easily among the places in my bucket list of trips to do. But your storytelling is so humorous , what with the wolves, foxes, all that trekking, man flu and what have you. A very enjoyable read!

Inca Trail Photography
Your Inca Trail & Machu Picchu photos are awesome! What photography equipment did you bring with you on the trail? I'm leaving in a couple of weeks to hike the Inca Trail and am trying to decide what equipment to bring (flash, tripod, lenses, etc.).
