Well finally made it to London after at 16 hour flight and layover. Can't say anything good about the fight other than we arrived safely so I guess that is enough. Upon arriving I had to catch the underround train (The Tube) and then a bus to get to Leslie's house. She lives in an area that was heavily bombed during the war so ost of the places are not as old as many of the other places that we saw. Her apartment i very charming and she has a sall garden which in London that is pretty fantastic. The weather was grey but thankfully the rain stayed away and allowed us a lot of walking tie. Friday Nick arrived from Italy and we just sat around her flat for the evening and just got to ... read more

As I begin my ninth and final entry to this trips blog I look back with great memories some challenging moments I feel blessed that I was able to go to San Miguel De Allende. After taking a 3 hour bus trip from Queretero to Mexico City starting at 9:00AM We arrived home late Friday night 12:00 midnight exhausted but happy to be home in our own place. Nothing is better than returning home and finding all as you eft it. So now a rainy but quiet Sunday afternoon I thought I would put up some random pictures and videos of the last few days of our trip. After my last entry on the 2nd I took a few days off from the Blog and then the remaining time just flew by. We kept so busy ... read more

Hapy New Year Everyone! Took a break yesterday after staying out very late on New Years Eve. Spent the evening sitting in the Jardin people watching, there were some crazy hats out there. Lucky for us it wasn't as cold as it had been although were bundled up. Bought a small botlle of Tequilia I mean everyone else was so figured why not. That certainly took off the chill.LOL They had live music until the countdown and then things went nuts. The fireworks were really good and people had these crazy long Sparklers. All in all everyone looked to be haing fun even if they may find little brns inthe coats after getting home. Took some videos will post later on Youtube and send linkthis site only holds small ones. Yesterday didn't do to much just ... read more

Hey everyone was hoping to get this up yesterday but wireless is a bit sketchy! As usual we walked our feet off in fact even Rick was exhausted. We were going to take a tourist trolley around for a tour but we figured we have walked as much as they would have showed us around. To day Rick and I got up and headed for the El Charco del Ingengio Jardin Botatanico. Lucky for us not to far out of town as we ended up walking back to town after walking all over the gardens. Straight down the mountain on cobblestone. Very interesting to see it but certainly different than our lush gardens. We did have a great time being out in the countryside where it was nice a quiet which when you are traveling Mexico ... read more

Got up yesterday morning and headed to the small town of Dolores Hildago a small but very busy town about an hour away. This is the town where the Mexicans won their independence from Spain steeped in important history for the Mexican people. Also compared to SMA it is more a town the Mexicans visit. In fact we spoke with some Mexican Americans from San Diego and they were not even going to SMA. Dolores is a bustling town with a million ice cream stands it seems on every corner all with at least 10 choices of very tasty ice cream. The Jardin square was very pretty and surrounded by yes you guessed it Churches. The main church was busy with some sort of very large service going on so was unable to go into it ... read more

Well before taking off this morning for a new adventure to Delores Hildago a town steeped in Hostory as the place the Mexican people fought for their independence from Spain very Historical. Yesterday we had a really fun time just hanging out at one of the local Hot spring Spas. The four pools at this one were all different temperaures from pretty warmm to Hot! This one was very unique in that it had a water cave you go through to reach a large area to soak in. The water was so hot but the atmosphere was very cool! Arrived on the bus which dropped us right outside the door very easy as this is a little ways out of town. The cost per person was 80 pesos which is about 7$ US so not bad ... read more

Hey everyone hope you all had a Christmas Day! Rick and I did a lot of walking and people watching in the Zocola. The place was crawling with people from all over Mexico and tourists too. Started out to be warm today so feeling much better about that even though you won't catch me without a coat close by. Walked by some gringos and heard her saying about how chilled she was and her son said "Well at least it isn't raining!' Amen to that they must have been from Oregon/Washington LOL Anyway can't wait until some of the festivities are over and we will start exploring the outside areas around SMA but for now so much to see right here. Last night we attended the Christams Posada at the neighbors. People started arriving about 8:00pm. ... read more

Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas day! We woke up to the sound of Church bells and Roosters! You can imagine in a town with hundreds of churches and roosters in every yard that can be a loud wake up call. It is a beutiful clear sunny day here even though a bit nippy here in the morning but should warm up to a nice 72 degrees or so. Enjoying a cup of coffee and a big glass of fresh squeezed orange juice does it get any better? One of our missions yesterday while walking was to find an orange juicer to use here and take home. You would think in a country that makes lots of fresh juice it would be easy, not so. We did find lots of electric ones but we wanted the ... read more

We made it to San Miguel! Well we finally made it to our destination in SMA! After flying into Mexico City Airport we managed to find the bus to Quertero very easy. After clearing customs we just walked out made a right and followed the signs to the bus very easy. Managed to get on a luxury bus in about 10 minutes and off we went. It costs about 22 US each. The bus was very nice and comfortable. However after reaching Querteo someone told us to cross the street better to have said make a right and go to terminla B. But we walked a bit until someone helped us back to station where we managed to get on the last leg of and hour drive to SMA. So for all you people who fly ... read more
