I was searching for a new destination in Africa, however not a destination with mostly Safari and wildlife. Ethiopia is a good destination to find the real authentic Africa and an unique country with her own style, where none other country of Africa can come close. And which does still feel pure.
In Ethiopia, I visited two regions: The North and The South. Because due the huge difference in between these regions, I split up the travel blog report in two sections: The North and the South.

The North: You feel soon yourself welcome in one of the most beautiful-est countries of Africa. It is a land in between mountains and mountain passes, where the local people are sledging with their cattle from and to rich fields and rivers. The Blue Nile River is feeding the North with waterfalls and starts from Lake Tana. Not only a great place for nature, but it is combined with the Christianity of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church and it's life. Not only at Lake Tana, but Monasteries, churches and priest are found everywhere, decorated with colorful art. The colorful markets, the local people, their culture and the rich landscapes of mountains and valleys, makes the North of Ethiopia a lust for the eye.
