Tamarindo, pretty sunsets but not worth it! I was ripped off multiple times in tamarindo. The guy selling produce on the corner near super 2001 over charged me and then didn't give back correct change scamming about 8 dollars off me. That was in my first 30 min in tamarindo. Every day it was something. I'll never go back and I would advise everyone reading this to avoid sleazy tamarindo and its thieves!
Supreme Collection Unfortunately my experiences with supreme collection were not as good as yours...
Me and my friend were fitted with two suits, four shirts, two vests and two ties. We tried them on in the store and they were fine. Since we were still traveling, we arranged for supreme collection to send these to us back home. two weeks later the suits had still not arrived, we called them many times and they always came up with a different excuse on why they were not sent. Finally after 6 weeks we got a tracking number and the "suits" arrived, but they were missing one shirt, the two vests and the ties! Also the shirts and suits had been remade cheaply (not cashmere) and were not the same ones we tried on in the store! These guys are scam artists, I would highly recommend staying away from them
DIGGING FOR PYRAMIDS?!?!?!? You're living my archeology dream -- I always wanted to go on a dig!!
I would NOT have gotten in that water though. Good luck with that. (Don't read THE LOST CITY OF Z.)

Jealous Sounds like you are having a great time already. We are jealous of the diving and the lobster dinner. Hope you are taking a lot of pictures. Have fun!
restaurants in Singapore You were very close to one of Singapore's best restaurants, Le Pont de Vie, at 26 Kandahar Street just across from the Maloay Heritage Village.
I just finished catching up on your journals - what an amazing trip! Have a safe flight home and I can't wait to talk to you about all the details. The pictures are gorgeous - I'm so jealous!
I miss you! Hey girl!!
Wow i am so jealous your photos are amazing!! I hope you are having a great time with Wes! Have enough fun for me too!! Miss you!

YAY! You're finally there! Send our best to Dara and Ponheary (and Marina!) Don't forget to eat at Blue Pumpkin in town--and visit L'Artisans d'Angkor (it's a local artisans school that teaches impoverished children various trades, like sculpture, painting, etc.) Just reading this is making me miss Siem Reap!
Shark Week This has nothing to do with this delightful post. But, Kyle made me watch a program on Shark Week last night. It was about a group of environmentalists having a great time, videotaping everything -- pretty much just like your group. Then a chick got her leg bitten off by a shark. And it was on video. So I guess what I want to say is don't get eaten by a shark.
living vicariously... Locked in the library and procrastinating reading your blog :) thanks in advance for the present!!!! Wish I was there....though the jumping shrimp made me gag a little....;)
Alright! Pom ja chorp poot pah sah tai gup koon. Guaranteed you'll know more than me by the time you get back--I'm jealous! Now you can work on convincing Levine to take a year's leave of absence to live there.
fun times! You seem to be having a great time, and your pictures are beautiful! Looks like your home for the summer is quite lovely! And you've got me jealous with all your descriptions of food so far! Glad you're having fun!
Textiles & Gems Be careful of letting anyone bring you to any of those textile and gem shops--they are no doubt getting paid for every shop they bring you to. Often you'll find your tuk-tuk driver will stop at a mysterious location you didn't request and try to get you to go in and shop. You'll find you can waste a lot of your precious time trying to do this "favor" for people you don't know. It's one of the bigger scams in Thailand. It can be fun for a while, but don't let them take away too much of your day!
You're bringing back so many great memories. It's pretty easy to get used to those prices, no? Again, we're so psyched for you--and hope that this experience is one you'll never forget.
You'll be an old pro by the time Wes gets there!
