Village life Hello, yes it is true indeed to get the true sense of an area you are visiting, especially in China.
Travellers and writers of the past inspired me to set off and reach these places that made them fell in love with Asia. I hope that this travel will bring up other interesting and positive experience s like this one.
Thanks again for your comment
Take care bye
The Maonan Another fascinating minority ethnic group from Guizhou, still preserving traditional dress that identifies them. What a wonderful experience that you can mingle among so many different cultures, Marcos.
The Maonan Hey Dave, here is like another world, so many minorities yet to visit and understand.
This is for sure the most important experiance I have ever undertaken, especially for these people where even a small favour, things, has a great meaning. I am glad to still find a bit of true Asia in a continent that is having a dramatic economic change and probably soon all these beautiful things and traditions will be swept away.
Thanks a log off the comment Dave
Bye
China Hi Dave, yes absolutely, in this province there is so much to see and it is not well known by the westerner travelers. It is the third largest province about ethnic minorities in China.
Thanks so much for your comment
Bye bye
Pingtang Another reason visiting villages can give the most wonderful experience, Marcos. You have obviously discovered the hospitality of the rural Chinese is priceless. What a delight to see yet another of the ethnic minorities of China. I was unaware of the Bouyei.
Pingtang Hey Dave, sorry for the late reply but I am always busy in doing something, here in China...
Yes, the more I know and more interesting!!! Only in Guizhou province there are 17 ethnic minoritiey groups Dave, it is the third largest province for ethnic minorities after Xinjiang and Yunnan. They are great singer and worth of listening them.
Thanks for your comment Dave

Left and lonesome when all I had was one yuan What fabulous memories this blog brings Marcos. On my first trip to China my wish when we flew from Beijing to Kunming to do our Shangri-la Tour was to visit the porcelain arhats on the mount of the Western hills of Kunming. So David took us there first and then through the Longmen tunnels along the cliffs of Dianchi Lake, then across the cable car to the minorities Village. T'was then I was "Left and lonesome when all I had was one yuan", being the title of my blog of the same name. A pivotal experience that led to my enduring love of China. Thanks for bringing it all back. Gotta love Yunnan!
Left and lonesome when all I had was one yuan Hey Dave, I am glad to hear that and I would like to read that blog if you can tell me which page do I have to look for would be better, you have so many blogs and I might lose hours looking for that one. I am happy I brought you back some nice memories of Yunnan. It is a lovely place in China, no doubt..
Thanks for your comment very kind

Views What a lovely view, and those Taoist temples on the cliff look amazing. The emerald lake looks nuclear green in parts though :) Is zongi sweet sticky rice with red beans? I think I've had a similar thing in South East Asia called bachang.
Views Hello guys, yes the lake has been heavily polluted in the last a few years, once it was possible to swim in but now not anymore...That is right and zongzi is delicious food, the owner of the house where I stayed made it for me to take away..
Thanks for your comments and keep well bye bye.
Safari Park Hello Sir, it was more like a zoo, actually and it was very well maintained. The animals had a fine space where they could move around quite comfortably.
Thanks bye
Good information! Now Vang Vieng changes a lot.
Beside the most popular Viman Vang Vieng Restaurant in town ( at the walking street ) we now have the one more good thai restaurant, VANGVIENG THAI at the Wat Kang Temple street.

I was born on September 12 1983 in an Italian town called Rimini, located in the Emilia-Romagna province along the northern east coast of the Adriatic sea.
I lived there for a few years up to the age of 7 and I then moved with my family to my mother native town Brescia, where I grew up and spent my adolescence.
This idea about travelling around the world came up in 2006, a bit for the curiosity to see places that I watched on TV, when I was a child, and also with the goal to change lifestyle, to face new challenges, meeting and communicate with people of different cultures and learning t... full info
