The Wilkinsons are going North for the Winter February - March 2017

Our travels will take us to Norway to chase the Northern Lights and into the frozen (or mostly frozen) Arctic Circle. Hoping to see a Polar Bear - not too close thanks, and many other amazing wintery sights. Looking forward to riding horses on the beach near the Lofoten Mountains, and driving huskies through the frozen wastelands of Northern Norway (Kirkenes). Hanging out with our buddies Kim and Stuart Grierson is going to be an absolute treat too. Bring it on!

Then Walter and I travel onto Iceland for 5 nights - travelling to the Volcano and staying in huts overnight and then experiencing Blue Lagoon and the Hot springs. Brought my bikinis so I can wallow in the warm waters - then on with the Recco jacket and pants to get back to our transport. Hey... it is all about the journey right? It might be we have to freeze our asses off, but we are going to make that sacrifice to know the wonders of Iceland.

After Iceland we make our way to Morocco, and a total change of clothing, to see first hand the wonders of Casablanca, Fez and Marrakesh. We will also be boarding the Marakesh express, so in the words of Graham Nash (Crosby Stills and Nash 1969) - "Take the train from Casablanca going south, Blowing smoke rings from the corners of my my, my, my, my mouth, Colored cottons hang in air, Charming cobras in the square, Striped Djellebas we can wear at home, Don't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express, Don't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express, They're taking me to Marrakesh Express.... All on board that train"

Picking up a car in Paris on 14 March, the 1st and 2nd World War sights in France will be our next stops. Followed by Santiago (Spain), Porto and Lisbon (Portugal), Cordoba (Southern Spain for 5 days checking out Gibraltar, Grenada and so on) and then cross to Cinque Terra (via Monaco) and back to Paris by 1 April. Lots to do and see and lots of money to spend - after all we are "SKI"ing right now. Its going to be amazing and I am so looking forward to it.
