Zuska goes to Paris

Welcome to our trip journal! In February of 2012 I celebrated my 'significant' birthday. In order to get through it, and to feed our mutual love of traveling, we planned a trip to Europe. Our first trip in 2008 was a river cruise; a fabulous trip from Switzerland to Holland. During that trip we had heard from fellow travelers that the cruise from Paris to Prague was even better. However, the Paris-Prague cruise takes nearly 2 weeks and repeats some of the same ports we had already visited. Thinking we would try a different approach, we decided to go directly to Paris and Prague and spend a few days in each city. In this blog I will share some of our adventures.

This is the worst part for me since I have the hardest time striking a balance between having the right items and packing light! I don't want to forget anything, and it seems like I need to have my entire wardrobe at my disposal. After all, it might rain. Or it might be cold. I may need to dress up . . . it can be very confusing. On a more practical front, the voltage is different in Europe . . . does the voltage converter in my closet still work? Should I take my good hair appliances or will I fry them if the voltage converter is broken? Where did I hide those leftover euros from 2008? What purse should I take to hold all the necessities (yet still look stylish for Paris?) What about ... read more
