You're in for the ride of your life Scott,
Sounds like your in for a real learning experience... take that RV to one of two places---1, the repair shop or 2, the junk yard...
Good luck, buddy, Conrad
Practice Scott,
You had better start practicing how to back up... and think before you drive in tight spots with that 5th wheel. Hope you come to Rochester NY to visit us and my new son, oliver. Enjoy you lucky SOB.

No worries!!! Farming Yards.........this is just great training for your adventures down the road. You see, eventually with a bit more acquired skill and practice you can selectively take out things way more unneeded than bushes......like Hummers, evangelistic billboards, and perhaps a few hitchhiking KKK members.......Dude, these guys would get you 150 points each............that woud give you some surplus points since that bush only cost you 50 points.
Now, If you get done with this multi-month rolling trek, and you still have your ass, nervous system, and RV bumper fully intact, just know we will all sleep better knowing there are a few less Hummers on the road.

backing up a trailer You should have started your trip in Riley. Randy can teach anyone to back up a trailer. He backs his 17 foot boat into our single garage with just a couple of inches to spare on each side with his Silverado. (2wheel drive, too--and he had to look for it for a long time too). Anyway, loved reading your blog and looking forward to the saga. (Grace you are a saint!)
Get er dun Hey Scott, looks like you guys are heading in the right direction. Nice truck, and that looks like a sweet house! You 2 will have a ton of fun. Can't wait to see ya in November, we're really looking forward to it. MaShay says "Nice Rig".
Love you and be safe, Ian and MaShay
trailer backing yikes scott
don worry this problem is very common...you will get the skill set, and it is just that...a skill set!
when i had my gardening business i NEVER backed up anything for the same reasons, i left to the skilled RV guys
miss you and wish you the best best best

Trailer backing tip Scott and Grace,
When wanting to go right turn the steering wheel to the left and when you want to go left turn the steering wheel to the right. Give yourself more room than you think and you will do fine. Don't worry, you will become masters of trailing backing soon enough.
Bon Voyage,
Jay
