boing that sunset is out of control. that is all.
p.s. it's Beirut...not beer pong...beer pong or pong is played w/ paddles and only exists in/near Dartmouth ;-) xoxo
p.p.s. try non-plastic cups aka: corn based to avoid killing the environ..geeeze you think traveling hippie types would know this :-P
da mom Hey - I would love to join this fun group too.. Then it could be called "da boys, da man, and da mom - (I thought da babe would be pushing it!) - Kyle's mom
It's nice to see "da boys" It sounds and looks like you are having a great time. I wish I was with you. Then it could be "da boys and da man"
Burt's Dad
cleaning up It is nice to hear you found a hotel to "clean up a bit" I assume Burton did too? Let me know and I will communicate this to Anne!
:):) and Maria, too.
Jesus Guys, I seriously hate both of you, no joke. It has been -30 degrees here for a week, work is brutal, and everyone in the USA sits around bitching about how tough times are constantly... I have never in my life wanted to myself in the nuts more than I do today for not going with you... SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT.
What are you missing..... Have you found a restraunte that does the suflee potatoes like Puerto Madero?? What about a recipe for a similiar Argentinian Sausage? Or the Chocolate suflee?
Cause they are so good.
Pubic Hair Pubic Hair when played correctly is a fantastic instrument. Hope the acustics of the theatre were such that brought out the wonderful sound pubes make.
EEEWWWW! Hi Kyle. I'm not sure you needed to go all the way to Uruguay to take in that disturbing performance. I think I saw something similar on my way to work in downtown Flint a couple of weeks ago! Oh, and I think I'll skip this entry when filling my little students in on your latest adventure. They LOVE my Kyle stories, and have your postcards taped all over the classroom! You're the best! Stay safe...and apparently away from Uraguayan ballet performers. Love you! Julie
Dream This sounds so wonderful. It is a dream of mine to make it to BA.. I'm sure you have so many great stories to share. Wishing everyone there a happy holiday season. We are in Cancun enjoying the warm sunny weather - much different than the snow and cold in Wisconsin. Enjoy!
Kyle, just wanted to wish you and your friends a Merry Christmas. Uncle Bill and I leave tomorrow for Cancun. Nan and Jeff left this a.m. for Cancun. We are looking forward in some warm weather.
Am loving all the beautiful pictures in the blog. Enjoy and be safe.
Love
Aunt Ilene and Uncle Bill
Happy New Year too!!!
I love your writing and the photos as well. It looks like you guys had a beautiful day at Perito Moreno. Aren't we all so lucky to have seen that part of the world? Hope see you in EEUU someday soon! Vaya con dios.
Anne Anne...I am so glad you got your dream come true!!!! More photos with the boys in them!!! Great job boys. Looks incredible! Continue living it up.
kickass damnit man (men).
epic fuckin' trip. next up...get me...and my camera down there.
as for your comment on photographing people....tough call. if you go up and ask then you loose the moment of spontaneity. I can see your point though. Although...eric is a spectacle.
objectification ok... so, I am a photographer and I always look at the photos before I read the blog...
This time I thought to myself "look at what a good looking group of guys" so I decide to make a comment and share my thoughts...
Then I went back and read the blog... which ends with a story about objectification... Then I think "Great, have I treated these guys like they are on some adventure calendar for single women!?I even titled the comment "studs" just to bring it home!
I am hoping that because you were all posing for these photos - you just feel flattered ;) Kerry Lynn
p.s. good reminder to ask before taking pictures... I kayak with my dog in Kauai and tourists always want to take my picture... it can be a bit much sometimes.
I quit my cushy job in health care software in January of 2008 and hit the road with my younger brother Darren (the one on the left of the photo). We had plane tickets to South East Asia and not much of a plan beyond that. It turned into one of the best years of my life. And, as a result of this blog, I convinced many of my friends to leave their uninspiring jobs and travel as well!
I am now finishing medical school in the United States and starting residency shortly. Money is tight, becoming a MD has me pinned down, but I jump at every opportunity I can to get out on the road.... full info
