Under construction....what I can tell you ...I am in Sweden! Up early, showered, dogs fed, car packed and we were off to Sweden! We hummed and hawed the night before on how we wanted to get there, options being by boat or car and opted for the car ride as it allowed us to sleep in until 5am :) It was a long drive but the singing, eating and sight seeing made the drive feel like nothing. Our first stop as tourists was to get an up close and personal view of the windmills also known as wind turbines. It also gave us a chance to stretch our legs and empty our bladders. Saturday morning was pretty low key while Gry and myself got prepared for a very long evening working at a concert. We had a little over two hours drive along a beautiful country side. We first stopped to grab some sweets and drinks at a grocery store then got back on the road. Like most of the roads here, they twist and turn through the country side with only a few meters at a time of straight stretch before the next bend. We stopped at Thea's home in Hivttingfoss. There I saw Oscar, who now lives with Thea and whom I haven't seen since I arrived, and Kim Andrea. Their home, which Gry once lived is a big square home with many rooms and decorated and put together much like an IKEA magazine. ... read more

Woke up this morning to Andreas singing to me "stå opp din gris" which when translated literally it means "wake up you pig" lol None-the-less, a beautiful sound hahahaha. Had breakfast which was left overs from last night and open faced sandwiches. Following breakfast, we went for a hike up the mountain. In the pictures,, you can see the farm aka cottage in the far back. Gry and I hiked by foot while Thea and Benedicte rode horses. Large, the new golden puppy walked with us, finding every puddle along the way to wade in. Along the way we nibbled on wild strawberries and saw beautiful wild orchids known as Orchis mascula. Sitting at the bar with two nice looking Medalists from the Pan AM games here at Toronto international airport. To my left, the Brazilians sit with less then a normal sense of humor and to my right good ok' Canuks headed to Barcelona for 8 days. Married 23 years with 3 children...maybe 4...if I hadn't had so much wine I could recall. We chuckle at various things that occur through the two hours and talk about our trips. Great looking couple and I would put money on if we weren't headed in different directions, we would be great friends. The staff at this Indian food bar are friendly and comical.
