Our home country :-) We are happy, you two enjoyed our home country so much! Well, we have decided that we should definitely go and do the paragliding in Interlaken which we haven't tried so far (we also haven't seen the Rhinefalls which looks beautiful). If you come back to Switzerland let us know. Great travels, Nina + Mark
Re-visit to Switz Will love to return one day. Don't know when but I know that I will return. Will let you two know when I do, and hopefully it's soon! Meanwhile, enjoy paragliding if u all try it! Your country is just lovely :)
Excellent! Switzerland! We are thinking of going to Switzerland in the fall so I really enjoyed reading this one and looking at the photos. When in Florence, take the walking tour.
The kindness of travelers! A star is born- an internet sensation. I got goose bumps as I read about your email from the person finding your wallet. People are so good. Bad news sells but good news is what people long to hear. What a great story. Love your photos.
Wow! This blog is reminding me that Tromso is on my list of places I want to go to. It won't be this year though, because this year I am off to the Andaman Islands, India. - I want to see both the northern lights and the midnight sun. I suppose, they happen at opposite times of the year though?, so I would need to go twice.
Tromso Hey Mell, yeah, Tromso is such a lovely place but you are right.. perhaps if u r lucky enough u might be able to catch both in the time of april, as mentioned by one of the guide whom brought us around!
Reminds me of 1986 Yes 1986. My first time EVER in Europe. Was in London on scholarship too, and "never wasted a weekend." That's how it all began with this wanderlust. [blog=452881]
London amazing! I'm sure u had the time of ur life during ur time studying there. I was initially gunning for that too but had to settle for studying back home instead :)
Ahhh. Segovia! One of my fav towns. And not just because of the suckling pig. (Frankly, I prefer the Oriental suckling pig)
Glad you are documenting your travels and journeys around Europe -- keep writing!
Impromptu traveling is the best! Hitting the road on the spur of the moment is exciting. We have starting following you so we can keep up with your adventures. Fantastic photo of Angkor Wat.

I note that you have two great Followers thus far (besides me)... Anastasia78 and ColvinYeates. Their blogs are also inspiring. Anastasia's latest blog "Who are the people in your neighborhood?" was phenominal. ColvinYeates are currently in India on an RTW...next is China...they've been everywhere with great blogs.
took a while thanks for ur encouragements Bob and Linda; took me a while to get back! yeah, had started reading up on entries and it just spurs me on to continue doing what we all believe it! :) it's really encouraging to see so many like-minded people pursuing the same dreams
Coming through the standard education that pushed myself to seek for academic excellence, I never really knew what I wanted to do, and no aspirations on what I really want to be in the future. Growing up from a not so well-to-do family (but a very blessed one), I had little opportunities to travel, hence making my every journey on the plane/cruise/train a precious one. With every trip, I grew to like, then love the idea of just packing a bag, fly and go. An immense sense of satisfaction from understanding more about an unknown place, interacting with the locals from a ... full info
