Love your blog We still love hearing about your adventures. It seems a very long time ago that we met in Malacoota! Enjoy the last few weeks. Love Ruth and Bob xx
Not long to go ! Hi Ruth & Bob
Great to hear from and that you're still checking up on us ! It seems forever since we sat on the beach all day and chatted !! Hope you had a great adventure too, unfortunately we lost the link to you're blog when our pc was stolen in Chile.
Hope you're both well. We've only two weeks left, it seems unbelievable that the time has gone so quickly.
Best wishes Steve & Chris
Womad Hello both glad your still enjoying your travels you must be due home soon?
Saw most of the Old Codgers last weekend at the Womad music festival it was Ding's 60th birthday on the Sunday. Him, John and Lil went for the weekend and Ken,Maddie, Jane and I met them there for the Sunday as did his daughters and brother Bob. A good time had by all. We took our grandson James which was interesting, he loved dancing. We are looking forward to a week by lake Garda in Oct, I expect you have bee there. Anyway take care and watch out for the bears.

Not been there hi I'm pleased to hear that the birthday weekend went well. Did Ding show you the card we sent ? Only two weeks left for us now, home on the 12th August. We've not been to Lake Garda, it's supposed to be beautiful. Steve
Just missed the hippies by 50 years Hi both,
Your dedicated Yorkshire blog-followers here. Sorry the weather's not been too good in San Fran but if it's any consolation it hasn't been good in Brittany either! It seems good on all your pictures because, like us I expect you got the camera out when the sun came out! There was no fog in France but no sun either, just cloud most of the time but sunny occasionally. Uniquely for us we have no more holidays planned! Boo hoo! I'm waiting to find out about my knee when I've seen the specialist in 3 weeks, so thought it best not to book anything. We'll make up for it later. Thank goodness we've got rid of the awful football and the pesky cycling (which caused havoc round N Yorkshire) but now we've got the dreaded Commonwealth Games approaching. Aarrgh! Still, there's snooker in November. Enjoy your last month. Bet you can't wait to get home! Carol and David
Bring me sunshine ! hi We've left SF well behind now and are in Northern CA where it's hot hot hot !! 106 one day. Football not big out here so missed the final, was it a good match ?
I expect you've put away your cycling licra by now and the push bike back in the shed.
Two weeks left of our little camper then 1 week in the Big Apple. Looking forward to showing you our 1000's of photos.
Good to hear from you I wondered where you got to. Good to see you are still on the move and getting to watch the World Cup. So presumably it is now the good ol' USA? Home soon?
A moving target's harder to hit ! Hi Dom Yes only USA to go and home about 11th or 12th August. I have issued a blog for a while as we weren't doing anything interesting and I didn't want people to get too bored reading about us ! Will be using your suggested route in USA so will blame you if I get bored !! Steve ps Holland or Germany for the WC
Car 54 where are you? Was getting a bit concerned, no blog for 2 weeks, thought you'd been eaten or sold into slavery. Whilst you are out gadding about Mrs Smith has me knocking down walls and ripping out fireplaces. Managed to cut through the socket ring main yesterday like any good builder would. I was standing on a metal stool in my slippers when there was a bang and everything died except me. I have a nice hole in my saw as a commemorative piece. Naturally I blamed the electrician who originally wired the house running the cable on a diagonal instead of vertical or horizontal. Yesterday was the peak of excitement for my week watching some of my grandchildren under performing on sports day. They postponed it from last Friday because of the weather forecast and moved it to yesterday (Monday). Friday was a nice sunny day with a bit of cloud and breeze. Yesterday started the same, then it started raining, then I decide to go home, then it lashed down. More wall knocking down today, skip coming tomorrow. Being a happy soul like yourself I predicted England having 2 defeats and a draw, wish I'd put a bet on it now. We just never look like scoring. I'll keep looking out for you on Skype but the times you are blogging are not conducive to my sleep patterns.
Bob the builder Hi What are you doing knocking walls down at your age ? Has Mrs Smith upped your life insurance ! After all that work I suggest a holiday, take a year off and travel ! We are 7 hours behind you so Skyping is difficult. Best time is between 2 and 3pm your time, when I've just got up or 9 till 11pm before I have my dinner ! Finish the DIY as I'm not helping when I get back. Steve
Come to Atlanta! Hi Steve & Christine, glad you are both doing well and maintaining your sense of humor despite the inconveniences. We are getting ready to pack up here and even our RSPCA cat has a one way ticket to Atlanta the first of July. If you get tired of S/C America you should stop by Atlanta for a few days of R&R! We have lots of raccoons there too, most nights you can find one trying to get into the trash can, no nature guide needed : ) (that other furry animal with the long tail you caught in the kodak moment was a coati. ) Safe travels!
Leaving on a jet plane Hi Great to hear from you but sad to learn that you'll all be gone before we get back. I hope you'll keep up the tennis.
We get to LA on July 1st and will tour the west coast for 4 weeks before flying to NY for about 8 days before we come home.
I hope you keep in touch and let us know if you pop back at anytime. Don't know if we'll ever get to Atlanta.I'll bring my raquet if I do ! Steve
Hello intrepid travellers,
Having seen all the wildlife it's a pity you're missing the Slingsby Duck Race, - famous throughout the land - well, round Slingsby anyway - Plastic ducks of course. It's all happening here. Sounds like you're not getting too good a deal in Costa Lot (sorry Costa Rica) but you'll soon be in San Francisco where things really do cost a lot! (well. dining out anyway). Decided to get a new computer as the old one is beginning to groan a bit under the weight of pictures, so that's a week away and you can bet your bottom Colones that something will go wrong! D&Cx
where did that go ! as I was saying, car should have been 295 but then told this did not include even basic insurance. The only place in the world where none is included so had to pay another 150GP ! Still smiling though ! Good luck with the new pc
And there's more ! Hi
We're still on the wild life trail but are now north and taking in the scenery as well.
More CR shocks today when I picked up a hire car. Should have cost 295GP but then they said there

No! Hi No I'm not that impressed. The people in tourism are money grabbing. They operate two currencies. Dollars and Colones. There are 545 Colones to the Dollar. They charge in Dollars at 545 conversion but give change in Colones at 500 to the Dollar ! Also where are all the birds that are supposed to be here.
It could be a long month !
We are Steve & Chris. In 2013/2014 we travelled around the world and had a wonderful time. The nomadic existence suited us more than we could have imagined. So once back in the UK we soon got bored (well I did) and over the winter months planned another trip. Only 3 months this time to revisit Malaysia, the bits we missed last time and to explore the outback of Australia.
Only crocodiles, snakes and spiders to avoid !

Nearly over
HI just read the previous blog and realised you are nearly over with your travel - how time flies - hope to catch up when you are back. x
