Picture Hello, I would like to use this photo for a school project and I need to know if you took this photo because my work needs to be sited. If you did not take his photo, please tell me where you got it. Thanks!
Dinneens in Macroom I recently found your blog, “A Jaunting Cart and a bit of luck”, published 4/3/11 and noted your comment, “Now Macroom is where my great grandfather Patrick Dineen is from; so it was the first stop that was significant from a family history point of view.” And loved the photo of Dinneen’s pub that you included.
I’m curious about who your great grandfather, Patrick Dineen. My Irish ancestry is also from the Dinneen line and is to have originated in the Macroom area.
My furthest back confirmed Irish ancestor is DENNIS DINNEEN (JOHN1) was born 13 May 1805 in Kilnamatyre, Macroom, County Cork, Ireland, and died
1860 in Wapello, Louisa County, Iowa. He married MARGARET MURPHY Bef. 1836 in Ireland, daughter of DARBY MURPHY and MARY COLLINS. She was born 28 Dec 1816 in Kilnamatyre, Macroom, County Cork, Ireland, and died 1859 in Wapello, Louisa County, Iowa.
I would love to know your Dineen connection if you don’t mind sharing with me.
Thanks!
