Kruger Have a great time in Kruger! Are you staying in the same places? Remember the monkeys steal thigs - even when you think things are out of their reach! Looking forward to seeing Kruger pictures!
Congratulations and well done--you've achieved a tremendous amount at The Grace and it sounds like you have been a real blessing to the children. You deserve your holiday now--hope you have a safe journey to the Kruger. Be warned, if you are going the Loskp Dam-Middelburg way, that when we were there a few weeks ago they were blasting to widen the road, which meant they closed it for hours in the middle of the day. They may not be doing that on a Sunday but if they are, it's necessary to get there before 1100.
School looks fab! All your hard work at the school looks absolutely fabulous! The shelter, bunting, playground, benches etc look absolutely wonderful! Shame there are not more pictures and reports of your classroom work, Frances, but I sure that's also been amazing! You all deserve your holiday in Kruger. God bless xxx
Bench making They look remarkably similar to the benches we made for the classrooms. Ah -- I remember it well, when the saws fell apart and the electric drill just worked perfectly apart from rotating. Happy days !!
Fantastic! Keep up the amazing work, I don't know how you are fitting everything in! I'm enjoying reading your blog, thanks for sharing your adventures with us xx
Busy day Wow, well done! Hope you still have some energy tomorrow after a busy day today. Frances must be exhausted after teaching new classes all day long!
Grace Day Great to hear all that's happening. Fantastic news about the calculators. About time they had some more (we gave the Maths dept. a lot six years ago now!) And the Dewey system--wow! They need more fiction, don't they? We found the younger ones loved stories, too--couldn't get enough of them!
But I think Tim had the years out of sync. Grade 8 would be Year 9, more or less. Hope you enjoy tomorrow--is that Kghodwana?
In 2012 a group of 22 people from Park URC visited Siyabuswa in South Africa. A small group of six have returned so that we can see friends that we made on our last visit and to help out once again. We hope to build on some of the work that we did before such as painting classrooms at Grace Christian Private School, supporting the bible college students and spending time with the amazing people. We will do our best to keep you updated about our trip. However, Siyabuswa has suffered recently with daily power cuts, so keep checking back but bear with us!... full info
