Dream
You guys are living our dream - I so look forward to being able to be a nomad - the places you go seem so laid back and fascinating - I know we would love it. Stupid work - should no be a necessity of life. Happy travels.

just curious
Do you know what a short drop is? As opposed to a long drop?
1st October 2013

Pretty obvious
A one plop stop is a short drop anything greater is a long drop. Just count the seconds.

Jealous again
Really would love to be doing what you are doing, my lack of communication recently has been due to a number of power outages, the last one was nearly 48 hrs. Good to see you're getting pissed again

Hi
Hi Joan & Greg, Wow! You've covered some kms since we last logged in. Great days! Loved the Head of the Bight - I used to go there often when I worked at Yalata & it brought back memories when I saw Joan with beautiful cliffs in the background. Last time I was at Fowlers Bay I stayed in the church house & there was a mouse plague - I wish you a more pleasant stay!!!!!! Can't believe the cost of driving across the Nullabor in 2 days!!!!!!!! Greg, give up on fishing.............. Joan go & buy the man a can of salmon for goodness sake. B & I just got back from a weekend in the van at Murray Bridge. Brian went fishing & I wnet shopping for the can fish! Yippee Brian has his 4WD......... it is big & scary to drive. Check my contribution to Autism on Facebook! See you soonish. S & B & the Nissan

The last whale
When Mum and Dad and Ali and I were in Albany we saw the last whale to be carved up there. Somewhere in Mum's photos there must be a billion photos of the suspended Whale. I was hideous.

Flowering yellow tree
Nuytsia floribunda if I remember rightly. WA Christmas Tree - you are in for a treat this time of year, as Yvonne mentions. They can get big, see them in paddocks - they need grass as parasitic.

Joan
Hi Joan Happy Birthday - sounds like it was fantastic! Must catch up for a birthday drink with Jenny when you return. Love the wildflowers. Brian wants to know, on average, how many nights do you stay at each spot? Sheila

Vivid yellow trees in flower on the road in to Perth

That tree
Is actually a parasitic tree and is known as a Christmas tree because of the time of year it flowers, you should see them all the way down from perth

Nature’s window

Nature's Window
Hmmm... I have a photo very similar to this of Jason in the window. You have picked a great time to be travelling in that area. Hope you manage to drop into Sandy Cove on your way to Perth. It was my favourite camping spot while doing my thing in Geraldton.
