Up bright and early, it is time for another country, heading to ROSSLARE, IRELAND. We board the Stenna Lines ferry in Fishguard Wales for the trip across to Ireland. Filing onto the ferry, a senior woman stumbles and falls in front of me. She has cut her nose, and broken her arm. Chris calls for help. Pool soul. Once in Rosslare and under the threat of rain, our B & B owner Billy offers to drive us to WEXFORD. Our friend from Vernon, Mike McGrath hails from Wexford so we plan to see a little of the area. This quaint town has medieval lanes, and the Selskar Abbey. It is believed that Henry II did penance for the murder of Thomas Beckett here. And we’re off. Luckily for us, our British Airways double decker A-380 plane lifts off towards London eight days before the pilots go on strike. Once in England, we will need to adjust to the eight hour time difference. Sleep time. Next day involves activating our eurail pass and beginning the journey to CARDIFF, WALES. Amazing how a two hour trip brings you to a different country. The roadsides are dotted with purple flowers that look like miniature lilac plants. Local folk are so very friendly and instantly offer assistance the minute they see you looking confused and lost. Strolling along Queen Street in downtown Cardiff is a search for items made in Wales. Hello again to all! Hello as well to anyone who is a first timer of our blog. We have done a blog when we went around the world in 2017 and we called it Thelma and Louise's World Tour! In keeping with that tradition, Chris and I are off again on an extended trip to Europe. We have purchased EurRail passes, got backpacks and have decided we are going to travel Europe somewhat like we did in the 1970's! Maybe not quite but we are going to take this opportunity to ride the rails and experience all those places we just didn't get the chance to do!
