T shirt Can you tell me if there is a t shirt to buy with Joey's hot dog boat on it? If not there should be. Husband and son and grandson love the boat and hotdogs when we were visiting Captiva Island. Thanks.

great grandfather, Ben O'Connor Sent you an email re: GG on this blog but don't think it went through. can you email me. I am working on family tree and came across your names!! My grandmother was Mary Emma O'Connor Finn.
Yes - we are related through my mother-in-law I know your family, Mary - we lived on South Street and you used to visit your aunts around the corner on Harris Ave. My mother-in-law was Doris O'Connor - I believe she remained in touch with your family. You can be in touch with me at devoepr@nycap.rr.com = are you in touch with Michael Rainey?
Great blog I always enjoy reading others camping blogs when they enjoy places I love as much as I do. I love Santee SP and am wondering why you didn't stay there? Hunting Island and Edisto are both great
No Room at the Inn! Our decision to visit Beaufort, SC was spontaneous and it was Spring/Easter week break for many schools. The campgrounds were full - we also had a plan to get to DC for a college baseball game - so we had to move on! Thanks for liking the blog and providing recommendations for camping on our next visit.
Viking Rhine Boat Ride Hi Joanne,
So many memories reading about your cruise! I took my dad on this cruise in 1993 for his 90th birthday, a few years after my mother died of lung cancer. He was born in Germany and had never returned after he came to NYC when he was 14. I had to get out my pictures when I read your comment about the music box museum. Fascinating!

Your thoughtful comment Thanks for the feedback, Geri. I always hope that these little spigots of info that I post are helpful and not braggy - yours is a perfect example.
Don't Believe Me So, some of the ladies at the pool take exception to my "chamber of commerce" type post about Pine Island. They want to keep it all to themselves and I do see their point! So, please don't come to PI - the natives are restless!
Worth the Trip You might find this one spot in the Sunshine state that remains unchanged - it is really "old Florida" you can't judge it with a "drive by" viewing - it's heart and soul calls for more than a perfunctory glance,

Joanne is a Public Relations specialist who runs her own "boutique" agency. Fall of 2015 began our 13th year keeping this travel blog. In the winter, we travel to and through Florida. We plan our route to include places of interest going to and fro and have included Williamsburg, Baltimore, Washington DC, St. Augustine, Savannah, Charlestown, Myrtle Beach, Florida's Pan Handle, New Orleans, Atlanta, Memph... full info
