Glad to hear that you had such a wonderful time in Wellington. When I was travelling [years ago] that was one of my favorite cities and ended up staying and working there for 11 months. It was [to me] a much friendlier place than Auckland. I found most of the little places to be nicer than big cities generally. Same went for Australia. I loves Western Australia. Especially the drier climate. All the very best to you for a fabulous future. Your pics were also very nice.
We're Freefallin!!!!!! Woohoo skydivin...sweet as...we are some crazy chicks!!! How are we gonna top this one?? Thats our next adventure...luv ya and miss ya heaps!!!! Your NZ/ND/NE sista Rachel
Howdy girl! Great to hear that you agree with me. Welly rulez! Id didn't like Auckland at all! Hope that you'll Fiji as much as I did!! You'll have a wonderful time! I just left Christian and Corinna behind, and am now trying to become a cow-girl on a farm south of Balclutha, south of Dunedin! I stay with parents of a friend and have the best time feeding calves and enjoying the farm!!
Ask Batz in Mantaray Island to climb in the coconut trees for me!! Hugs, Helma
Dear Shelly Bula, like your mum I too shed tear while reading this blog. Taupo was such a massive trip,it was an awesome way to celebrate and it was a fantistic holiday spent with my new family from all over the world.
I Hope that you and Rach are having a the time of your lives in Fiji, Wellington is living up to it's nick name and it is incrdibily windy here right now
Love you lots and miss you heaps
Love from your Kiwi sister Ngaire
P.s I just made my first banana cake!!!
Oh man is that preety. If you took these pictures, then you have some pretty crazy photography skillZ. I must say.
I like the national park picture, it's gorgeous.
Huh. Man.
Hard to believe there's such a thing as work over there.
I bet you never hear anyone say.."All work and No play!"
Other way around, I presume?
I liked the 'Here Comes the Sun' photo. It must be nice waking up to that every morning, eh?
I've come to correct your grammar,because..well, that's just what I do.
"ordering a apple" = ordering AN apple.
I can just picture you saying that "busy day at work" thing. Hah. You should've done it. Oh well. : )
Arggggg. I'm a Pirate! I liked that whole epiphony you had. you know, the one about life?..and bible-beaters?..Hah.
Anyhoo. I'm jealous of your Pira-80's party. I'm part of a Pirate Ship, but I'll fill you in on that later.
Glad to see everyone is having such an awesome experience.
LoveyDovey!
Shizzzaaam. First off:
"As you can see by the photos, we were pretty stoked."
I like your choice of vocabulary.
Anyhoo. You said you were in the Botanical Gardens,..but..where are the pretty pretty flowers?..I don't understand. It seems rather nice though. Hills, Everyone loves hills. You created the classic movie scene: blanket, park, books. It all fits.
: )
Now, about this so-called "Cocktail Party"..Things got prettty crazy, I presume? Haha. Eh?Eh?Eh?
If I were there, I would have created a mass collage of all of your pictures, and everyone would've been all like.."oh, ah, that collage is amazzzzing who made it?!" and..of course, you would say.."My crazy cool sister and her mindblowing collage skills made that!"
BUT. I'm here..so you were at loss for a collage beyond all words. Oh well. : )
LaLaLaLaaaa.
Well, you did it again!
You made me cry again Shelly! I am so happy that you've formed such extraordinary friendships, a truly unique bond many of us are not so fortunate to have. And I'm sad to know how much you miss your "NZ family," because I'm sure they are part of who you are now, and surely it must hurt to let them go! But alas! You must vow to meet in the near future for a reunion! Seeing eachother again and sharing your fantastic memories will be priceless!
It's quite obvious that the most precious memento you will be bringing home from your journey, is not something you've purchased, but the cherished friendships you've made. Shelly, my sweet daughter, I'm sure you must know you have indeed been blessed beyond measure!
I love you! SWAK! Mommy
Das Leben ist Schoen Hi Shelly! Hope you and Rachel are all right! I wish I could travel with you. But Southisland is waiting for me and the exam is tomorrow. Wish you the best and be safe my friend!
Christian "Nomiddlename" Petersen
Wish we were there...and not here!
Thanks for the quick update, Shell. All I can say is, it's a good thing you are there, and not here... not too much fun here lately, thanks to "Wilma!"
As we continue the massive clean-up process while we wait for precious electricity, think of us, sweetie, and keep us with you, in spirit...because I can assure you, we ALL wish we were there...and NOT here! We love you!! Mommy
Greetings from the outdoor aunts. Hey Ngaire (and Shelly) - great photos! Really cool to read and see your Kapiti trip. Now you've been somewhere we've never been, and we've lived here for ages! But it's inspired us both to want to go there too.
Cool blog bro Hey Shelly, what a cool blog man, it almost made me cry!! I am so stoked that you have had such an awesome time in this awesome city and in my beautiful country, most of all I am stoked that we meet and have become such great friends!
