Sorry you have a cold, get well soon! Say hello to Sam and Sandy for us. You sound like you have found plenty to do to pass the time and are having a great time. Stay safe and have a GREAT time.
Thanks Crumby cold.....full of meds....won't get to Branson until tomorrow...Hopei feel better by then as I will be like a dump when we see Sandy & Sam. How are things with you?
Sorry, Didn't realize you were going from SATX to FtWTX Well if you add Enid to your stop (we have the redheaded grandsons here this weekend) US 81 is the best way that way. Otherwise I recommend the US highways that would end in Ft Smith Arkansas and on to an awesome 4 lane to Walmart HQ, then any route east to Branson. In OK I recommend stopping at Beavers Bend State park and Robbers' Cave State park (It's better than Rock City near Olean.) Lulu seems to get along with creatures and western types. haha.
Thanks Appreciate your advice and direction. I came down with a cold today ...in 90 degree weather??!?....so wouldn't be good company but thanks for thinking of us.
I 35 The section of I35 you were on is the absolute worst in the country. Hopefully you got off of it south of Austin because it is a death waiting to happen inside the city. US 81 and it's tributaries are the ones I use in Taehas.
Which Road Now you tell us....it was sooooooo bad. When we leave here, heading to Brabson but looks like we have to go to Okl.City....how is that expressway from Fort Worth up?
I just love your stories. With everything going on in my life right now, they bring a smile to my face. Thanks guys!!! They r great stories and pictures!! See you soon!! Miss You!!!
Yellow rose? I thought sure Lulu would have a yellow rose in her hair. Glad you made it to San Antonio we didn't have a car when we went through so I didn't get to see the Alamo . You sound like you are having a great time! I feel pretty good I haven't been in the emergency room in a month so things are looking good for Florida. Have fun and safe trip!
San Antonio Hi guys!
So glad that you are enjoying the city!! When I lived in Texas I really liked going to San Antonio! The Riverwalk was one of my favorite places too. There is also a beautiful arboretium in the city that is fun to walk around. Perhaps you will find it!
Hugs!

Thanks Appreciate the suggestions, Jo...we may leave tomorrow so not sure if we can get it all in. Anxious to hear about your trip..it must have been fantastic.
Great Place We were in San Antonio a couple years ago on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. The Riverwalk and some of what you're talking about we did and it was great. We did not take the tour bus so we're happy that was good for you. See you soon.
Boy Lulu sure gets around. I see u found some interesting characters. Enjoy your adventures. I love reading about them. see u soon!! Miss you guys!! Love Judy & Jeff
Lulu in New Orleans it looks as tho Lulu is having too much fun in New Orleans! Are you sure she wants to go to San Antonio? I think that she likes her new friends!!!!
Bridge The bridge was Rt.10 - it looked like it went over a part of the Gulf of Mexico more than bayou's...very busy highway on bridge that could have been @ 10 miles long.
up up and away!! So glad to hear that you are finally on your way! You really made the most of the situation and I bet that you could hire on as tour guides!! I have to admit that I really enjoyed reading all of your posts as I battled thru jet lag........... Our trip was outstanding!! We saw 38 different species of animals..not including reptiles and birds. The people on our tour (19 of us in all) were great. Couldn't have asked for a better group!! Tour guides were amazing! I still can't understand how they could see something at 50km hiding in a bush!! But they did!! Lodging, meals, and weather were all on our side too! I understand how Mother and Dad loved the Maasii ....but it amazes me that with all the outside influence they are still living as nomads! Anyway, Happy Trails to you!! Hope you love San Antonio...I do!
Free at Last. ,!! Glad you are free at last. Leave it to you guys to leave on a day we will always remember. Glad you are on you way and looking forward to upcoming blogs. Drive safely and if Lulu wants to to stay somewhere on your travels give her my best and tell her I will miss her (hint hint)
We used to live in the Western part of NY, close to PA border. Have been married 59 years. We have four fabulous children (Lory, Kim, Cory, Tim). They have given us nine terrific grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. All families live in N.Y. We are retired...Cory was VP of Human Resources...Sandy was an R.N. We now live in our 2008 Phaeton RV full time and are loving it! In 2012 we lost our beloved dog, Chip - our chocolate lab. He was our dear traveling companion. He was almost 13 years old. His memory will travel with us wherever we go. We winter in Florida at Tropical Palms RV Park in ... full info
