Welcome to Texas! I live in Houston and I have been following your blog for years - I am so excited you are moving here.
We have a permanent home in SW Houston and beach place in Surfside, TX. We go to the Bahamas a lot (Great Exuma) -
your stays in George Town is how I found your blog. Good luck and be safe in your travels home to Texas.
An Interesting Story I was interested in how you sounded like you were lost, then came out on the other side of the island!!! I would have paniced and turned around. Also, the food there sounds like something that I would like. Are you collecting recipes???
Gattopardo Yes!!! The Got-to-party will fit on our dock, right beside the Rum Runner :) We will dedicate a special spot for you called "cell block d". So come on over. As for the 220, we will have to get an inverter... but won't be held responsible if it blows up your tv. Love you guys!

Take care and enjoy your continued blessings... Love, Christine and Ralph Templin and Family

Gotta love the embellished story. Joe Lehder lived on Normans. I had a home near his house. The plane wreckage in the harbor is a C-46. I took the folks off when they were practicing landings. Plane was to bring in workers from Nassau, building a school and several houses. Good giggle about Novak. No trafficking on Normans, except for Ed Ward, who Lehder kicked out. Lehder believed you don't do business where you live. Nevertheless, one day Ted Kennedy and the Speaker of the House landed there, to play tennis, of all things. They were told they couldn't play by Lehder, but insisted, walking towards the tennis courts. Imagine their surprise when they got to the courts, which had been converted to a goat pen. One week later, the raids began. Lehder named his house "Florida" so neighbors could tell the DEA he was in Florida if they asked, and not be lying. Actor Paul Newman and his buddy Terry Knight sold their house on Normans, when the visits got sloppy.
Schooner I would like to purchase a handmade Schooner. Please email me different photo's and the cost of each one. I am wanting to place this item on the mantle of my fireplace. My husband owned the Schooner the "Varua" and I would like to try and have a piece of history in our home.
Thank you,
Alyson Hoyt

Rum Runners of lore were some of the best sailors on the seas. They had to outrun, outwit, and outsail the navy in order to make their spoils. We are proud to follow in the traditions of the past Rum Runners; to sail in the same waters, to find protected anchorages and friendly ports, as well as to enjoy some of the best rums the Caribbean has to offer- yar!
Let me introduce you to the crew of the Rum Runner; I’m Jen and do most of the blogging. But my life wouldn’t be complete without my husband Jay by my side. And as always we have our trusty companion Kona, the Salty Dog. We have b... full info
