Geo: -34.9339, -56.229After 3.5 weeks in and around Mendoza catching up with my South American family and friends the kids and I are off to Disney World in Orlando. Yip! Yip! Yip!It's certainly going to take along time getting to Orlando. We travel from Mendoza to Buenos Aires, Argentina then to Montevideo, Uruguay, then to Panama City,Gulf of Mexico before continuing to Orlando, a total of 25 hrs in transit and 8819 kms. That's 352 km/hr so still quicker than driving, if you could!Our combined tickets (3 people) for this trip cost $US3357. A cheap fare! For about 4 times the cost we could have travelled twice as quick. (Shorter route). The benefit is obvious, save on the flight so I can shop in New York! YES! Geo: -33.8671, 151.20725/12/14Update from DavidToday is Christmas Day 2014, have had a lovely day with my Dad and best friends Deb & Rick together with Lyn & Leane. Ha d a beautiful "Turducken" withe roast vegetables and the desert pictured.  Back home now having suffered yet another monster storm. Penny very frightened.  With just 43 hours before take off I have started to think about packing. Have some clothes out in a pile, suitcase is out, back pack cleaned up, but still bits n pieces everywhere. Keep think of things to do then forget again before I write them down.  Probably really settle down to packing when Dad goes tomorrow and I can finish a few last minute chores around the house, then relax & think much more clearly. Getting a bit excited now I have well and truly finished ... read more
