interestingly enough, we were walking with an african girl who looked up as the boys yelled "obruni" at us from the hall balcony. Bruni was her surname! Ha! They were obviously talking to her...
no it's not! I took pictures, but it might be a while before they get posted.
I looked really cool..... the past tense obviously indicating that they are now gone. they just can't hold onto slick hair...
braids I'd love to see a picture of your braided head! Good going, Ruby! (I got tired of being called obruni; then, I just let it be my official name -- often referred to myself that way.)
you'll get your passport back ... in time ... I am glad to read your journal. I love your descriptions and pictures -- makes me feel nostalgic. I remember washing all my laundry in a bucket, and buying tomatoes and "garden eggs" in the market, and looking at the beautiful batiks, and watching the goats wandering all over the place. The passport workers took an awful long time with my passport and I had to creat quite a scene to get it back in time to travel out of the county. Oh! Good luck and have fun!
sounds a little crazy Man, I would hate that. the whistling and preaching. Does he not realize hes being annoying? Does anyone else get annoyed?
Get those pictures up! I want to see you!
I'm an art student moseying my way towards a degree. No rush, especially since I've got the opportunity to study abroad in Ghana! I'm from Michigan, and since the only other country I've been to is Canada this is going to be a very new experience for me.... full info
