We are a young couple getting ready to embark on our first holiday together. We decided to take the plunge and make it a big one! We'll be visiting India, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Australia and will be using this site to show everyone what a good time we're having :P
Okay, so again we apologise for the break in updates! This update isn't as positive (although those whom we know personally have heard this already.) Unfortunatley, due to some unexpected circumstances towards the end of June we had to rush back to the UK and cut our trip short! We were dissapointed to come home early, although knew it was the right thing to do. Once we arrived home and sorted everything out, we decided to return to Thailand for a month (in late July) before heading to Sydney for a few weeks. Hey guys, We've not really been doing much whilst we've been here. We've just taken the chance to relax for a while...and it's been goooooood. Half way through our week in Samui we booked a minibus tour to enable us to see around the rest of the island (the best way is to rent a motorbike but that wouldn't be a good idea for us seeing as though neither of us can drive!) On the tour we saw various Wats (Temples) including Big Buddha which is Samui's most famous, a super creepy mummified monk, a monkey show, a waterfall (with Elephants at the bottom!) and the island's largest town: Nathon. So on Satursday the 9th of June we left India (following on from our last blog) and flew to Bngkok, Thailand. We flew to Bangkok without any solid plans, with no hotel or forward journey booked. We had however decided on one thing; that our time in South-East Asia will be taken at a much slower pace than we took in India. The flight was fairly short from New Delhi to Bangkok, and as soon as we got through immigration we made the decision that we would try to fly to Ko Samui. At 7:30pm local time, we bought tickets in the airport for the 9pm flight and ran through check-in to the gate. (Grabbing a quick bite to eat on the way!) Hey Everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates on this thing, we've only just managed to get into an internet cafe! It's our last day in India now and we're both sad and happy to be leaving. We've had a strange experience here: there have been things that's we've absolutely loved alongisde things we could do without! On our first day in Delhi we didn't want to waste any time so we dived straight in...this was probably the wrong thing to do. We got quite overwhelmed as obviously we didn't really know what we had gotten ourselves into. The day wasn't completely bad but Delhi is absolutely crazy!
