QES Uganda 2018
We are a group of Health Science students from the University of Saskatchewan who will be spending three months in Uganda, Africa to engage in a cross-cultural global health placement. Our team consists of 4 nursing students, 2 kinesiology students, 2 nutrition students, 1 pharmacy student, and 1 veterinary medicine student. During our time in Uganda, we will be working in a tertiary hospital in Mbarara, developing a community initiative in a rural community, and partnering with Vets Without Borders to engage in activities related to nutrition, women’s empowerment, and health screening sessions.
