Memories
Thanks for that Peter, brings back lots of memories, we also loved Broken Hill. Was pleased to see the photo of the mums, don't think I have ever met them, and it puts a face to people you hear a lot about. Looking forward to seeing you both.
you said it all done it all hi peter & rhonda your trip sounds sensational have a good rest before you take of again enjoy while you can . it was lovely to see a photo of the two mums, they are looking very well, see you soon regards tony & nina
Up to your usual standard Peter, can't tell you how much we have enjoyed them all. You should hire yourself out as a tourist guide, as you have really got me personally excited about doing this trip next year.
Spectacular photos as usual Peter, and it is place we will definately visit when we eventually do our big trip, on the plans for May next year, all going well. Very much looking forward to seeing you sometime when you get back. Our latest date to get away is about 8th. Oct. so unless you are coming up to Qld. before the end of the year we will not see you till about December. All the best.
Those Boab trees are fascinating. Must say you have done a great variety of things on your trip, and good on you, you will probably not go that way again. It is very exciting for you both to be seeing Elizabeth shortly, if I don't speak to you before then have a great visit.
Sharks!
Sounds like you had a great time visiting the Horizontal Waterfalls...we also thought that was amazing! Our boat jumped up and down through the falls, a couple of boats later one turned and as it did so it tipped several passengers out...they were not impressed! Did you go on the hovercraft at Cable Beach?
Brings back great memories Dear Peter and Rhonda, What a great time you had in and around Broome, it was like a tour guide book of the trip we did 12 years ago except we took the discovery up the Cape Leveque road, it was all sand in those days and it took 5 hours.
Its a great part of Australia, we enjoyed your photos, particularly of Vincent who hasnt changed except for the grey, we remember him talking rather loudly to his wife one night at the camp ground which was at the end of the bush airstrip, great value especially the Muddies.
We then camped on the beach past the light house and spent a wonderful 3 days snorkelling and walking.
I hope the next part of your trip is as pleasant as this.
Beautiful pictures as usual
I admire you both very much for making the effort to get back for Happy Hour, what sacrifices you 2 make, and of course Rhonda finding the shops everywhere you go. Was that a new black top you had on Rhonda.
Love your work I just thought I would mention what a great blog this is. I have been out to the national park but after reading your words will have to go again!
Thanks for the inspiration.

Peter and Rhonda retired in June 2008.
Having decided that they want to see more of this fantastic country, they bought a 23' Jayco Sterling caravan fitted with full ensuite, a couple of slide-outs , washing machine and a few other handy conveniences. Now that most of Australia (well, sort of) has been covered, the world beckons.
Our plan is to visit our chosen countries to explore their appeals and differences and at the same time meeting interesting people, both local and fellow travellers>
