WOW, what amazing detail in your blog, I feel like I am there with you guys. Don't fancy that heat though. Ladies with 'English Rose' complexions don't do well in 100deg F! Enjoy your last few days x
Carchup Hi Pete and Jude, great to read your latest Blog and to hear of all your wonderful times you are having. It was also just nice to hear that you well and having fun.Cheers,
Terry
name of hotel Great story. You covered all the bases. I'm going there in July and would like to know the name and contact details of that hotel you stayed at for under $100. Happy trails.
great adventure Great keeping up with your adventures it looks so exciting, I also loved the baby camel, I wonder if we will see one in Eygpt next year. We are planning a trip to Poland where my family is from, and hopefully to see the pyarmids as well. We are now great grandparents, so exciting but we are far to young!!!.
so take care and we will catch your next blog.
Love Brenda and Lance
OOOps! Sorry Guys, hadn't noticed you had been "dead" for so long as I don't get near the Computer very often.
Liz and her elder sister Pru are planning a trip thru Italy following the POW camps Pop was in there after his ship was torpedoed. Naturally they are moving on to Greece and France as well and Pru will stay on another 2 weeks to "do" England. Consequently Liz is now a member of Hertz GOLD club, among many other freebeez chucked at her over the Net. We are STILL in the dark ages of dial-up, mainly due to a offer that Clear made 4 years ago for $3.90 a month.
They are all SOOOO sweet there, Jason, Malcolm, etc and also appear to have missed removing us after the initial 3 month offer expired.
Consequently it takes a while for photos to appear but it is my birthday today and Liz is busy on a Chocolate cake and counting 62 candles, so, hey, lets go for it!
Thrilled you are having so much fun and happy that Pete has got a job doing stuff he LUVES. How good is that.
Just heard curses from kitchen, guessing we only have 60 candles.
Cheers for now
Bev
Yah Hey guys, it was great reading your latest blog and seeing all the pics!! Love the baby camel. You guys are on quite an adventure and I can't wait to see you next year in actual Bahrain!!!!! Wahooooo!!! Hang in there Jude, miss you guys xxoo
New Apartment Hi Pete and Jude ,thanks for the up date. The new place looks huge and I guess you got a real workout moving Pete.Am going to Hamilton in June to catch up with Jim and Rona on the chance that they "may be moving" .
Cheers,
Terry
Go Goa Thanks guys - Jessica, Edin and I had heard the latest when we visited Pippa. She was THRILLED with the copy you sent her and it was neat to read it out together. Thanks again for keeping us up to date, we really do love to hear it all. Keep stacking up the adventures. Love kim and co.
Nice blog! My husband and I just came back from Goa a couple of days ago (stayed at the Royal Goan) in Baga and we don't have time to write a blog so really appreciated reading yours! You can read a lot of really nasty stuff about India but we had a wonderful time. I think it is all about your attitude and your sense of adventure. I loved you desciption of the car hierarchy, we noticed that too esp as we were one of the people that rented a scooter for the week. We found the food excellent, great stuff at the Anjuna Market and the people warm and friendly. Yeah you get bugged by people trying to sell you stuff but that their livihood. We found if you were polite but firm they eventually left you alone. Our favorite resturants were East meets West, Casa Portugese and this excellent french/indian fusion place called Rouge Poisson this last place was on the level of one of the best resturants in Europe for about 40 euros in total including a 5 course mean, drinks and wine!
Best from Marie and Christan (now back in Dusseldorf, Germany!).
Thanks for blog update Hi Pete and Jude, grat to hear you 2 are alive and well.We have about 900,000 camels over here that need culling as they cause so much destruction in the wild.
Have been talking to Jim and Roma and I trust you have heard that they have made the choice of movint to The Manor.30 6th Ave.
I am so pleased as Jim was so frail when I was taking him to and from Theresa Birthday Bash.
The both sound really happy about the move and fingers crossed for a good sale price but it shouls be easy to sell as it is a nice place.Rona tells me the apartment is small but they need to be near nursing care.Frighting thought,Theresa told me this morning that Rona was driving to the shops later today.
Let me know more about your trip back in August as I would love to catch up with you both and can cna come over for a few days.
Have you thought of putting a trailor on Myrtle to take the strain the back wheel and save you dislocating you hips/
Cheers guys,
Terry
