Arigatou! Hi May,
I've just read your entire blog (well- the 3 years in Tottori) because it is so interesting! And, also becasue I am moving to Tottori in August to be a JET as well! So your blog is very helpful. It's fantastic to see the amount of travel you were able to do, I hope I can do the same! Seems like you had a great time. Hope Korea is going well for you too :)

Fun times, noodle casserole May, these entries are amazing. You've been overseas for years now. You ever going to come back? Wouldnt surprise me if you didnt. I love watching my friends life life full. Living simply for the experience is the only way to go. For food, fun, and friends. I'm just floored. You look happy & healthy. Let me know when you'll be back to MN for a visit. I'll have you bring me back something fun to wear...wink, (not a saucy kind of wink, but an I want something sweet to show off sort of wink) ;)
Besos!
Cute pics Precious! Glad to see that you are enjoying most of your stay so far. Yup! I was wondering how you would handle kindergartners..They are very unruly indeed, especially little boys. Advanced Birthday Greetings to you & hope to see more stories develop..You had a great 1st month!
hmmmm.... so... your korean age is 29?? so what's that make MY korean age?? I think i'm afraid to really ask!! (>_<)
congrats on the free stuff!!! sweet!!
My experience in participating a speech contest When I was in my second semester on my campus, I participated in an English Speech contest held by Education Faculty. I was speaking about "7 critical clues to be a successful person" in front of my fellow friends and lecturers. It was my first time as I had never done so when I was in high school. My motive to take part in the contest was to challenge myself and was trying to get rid of my nervous mannerisms. I did achieve my motive and of course I won the second place.
By the time I'm writing my experience here, I'll be having my another English Speech contest next week. I haven't had any idea of what I'm going to speak about yet. I wish to speak about something serious, but Im afraid that my fellow friends won't understand as most of them are lacking of understanding of English. (we are from non-speaking English country, Indonesia).
Korea!!!?? May, I didn't realize you are in Korea now? Wow, that's wonderful! Sounds like a great and challenging experience for you. Reminds of me the days with the Peace Dancers at Girl Scouts! :-) My cousin, Lee, is in S. Korea too teaching english to business people. You two should meet if you are in the same area. If you don't mind I will forward your blog to her. Great to hear from you. We had 60 degree weather the last week or so and it might snow or rain tomorrow. After a week or sunshine and 60's, 40's feel like it's freezing!
Wow Precious! Kindergartners have soo much energy..Imagine being in a room full of Jaydens! Too bad you have to teach so late at night. I hope that it is safe for you when you go home! Heated floors? Is it cold in Korea? Isn't it almost summer now!
We are looking forward to our stopover there in May!

May sensei! Lol, what do they call you? Obviously it won't be May sensei, that would be weird. It sounds like so much more work than JET. Soooo jelous of the heated floor too!
Looking forward to hearing more about it! Miss you!
guy in the thong Just to let you know, that guy is Korean. He did, however, live in Brazil for a few years, which is possibly where he picked up the interesting swim attire. He's like part of the mafia or something. He's really weird, but I guess a relatively nice guy. It jsut kinda creeps me out how he can wear that thong all over the beach with his 12 year old daughter with him. Oh well- to each their own i guess!
i don`t know how to start..T_T hi,goodevening!I`m kayama maryjoy from ooizumi highschool...,i`m wiiling to participate to the english speech contest this year but i still don`t know how to start writing..,could you give some advise please??..
How lovely May, how great it is that you went to visit your family in the Philippines. Looks like you had a wonderful holiday celebration! I love your new hair cut too. How much longer are you going to be in Japan teaching English?
Awesome parent pics May, so good to hear that your parents came to visit you. Looks like you all had a great time! I wish I had known that they were coming. I would have liked to join them. :-) HOpe you are doing well still. How much longer are you going to stay there?
touching with your roots hi precious. bal yujuico and i did a feature on you when you were 6 in our class '68 souvenir magazine. the years have really piled up. i always remember you as a child prodigy. it's sheer joy to get in touch with you again as agrown up, no matter how briefly. it's good to keep in touch with your filipino roots.
thanks for the blogs gee, precious, you're every inch a geisha in the photo you sent. every photo, every sentence in all your blogs speak of how much you enjoy your stay there - despite a few little disappointments, like not having your own desk till april. ha..ha. all the best for the rest of your stay in japan. and good luck with jobhunting in korea. my warmest regards to your parents when you meet them in may.
