Memories Very much enjoyed episodes 1 and 2. Boston was the first city I visited in the US after NY which in those days was steamy and dirty so I always said Boston redeemed the US for me. I visited subsequently, for the bank. several times and always enjoyed the city and all it had to offer. Never got to hear the Boston Symphony in their home venue, though. Chris and I subsequently visited on our New England coach tour and repeated some of the experiences. Boston will always be a favourite of mine. Looking forward to the rest of your tour and the blog!
Memories Hi Derek, Glad the blog brought back some fond memories and it will be very interesting to hear how this trip compares to your coach tour. Latest blog entry just posted covering our time in Maine which we have thoroughly enjoyed.

"Where's Arkwright?"... Is that your quiz question? Am pretty sure that Sir Richard Arkwright invented the Spinning Jenny in 1764 to mechanise the cotton industry Magnificent photography and top blogging Paul, it was so well written that it almost felt like I was travelling along with you on at least part of that journey. Until the next time matey
New underwear required!!!!! OMG, I would have been in trouble if I didn't have any spare knickers on that plane!!!!! Thank God all was ok in the end, and hopefully, the rest of your trip will be ultra relaxing! Enjoy your cruise xxx
Not quite relaxing yet Gilly! Nothing like the problems on the plane Gilly, but yesterday had its moments too! Now there's a taster to whet your appetite for the next post in a couple of days!
Yikes!!!! Blimey Paul, Mandy, sounds like a horrendous experience all round. Glad you are safe and well. Looks like Mandy may have an excuse to go shopping? Something has bound to have fallen out of the broken case!
I am in Korelia, a republic of Russia. Have been to St Petersburg for a few days and will end up in Moscow next week. My Russian isnt so good though. Ordered a drink with my meal tonight and was given 4 different liqueres. Had to ask reception for my room number as I couldnt remember!! Will try and keep up with your blog but internet not great as I don'thave a russian sim card!
Mountains I know the answer, it's Mount Elbert - clever me!!!!!!!! (By the way, they are threatening us with 32 degrees by the end of the week (bloody nightmare!!!!!!)
Ooops So, so close Gilly, but I think that hot weather has gone to your head! Mount Elbert is indeed the highest point in the Rockies, but the US Rockies not the Canadian, where Mount Robson reigns supreme. Thanks for taking the time to plough through each Episode Gill, I really appreciate it. Lots of love from us two. xx
Blogger extaordinaire Many greetings from Russia. Another great post Paul. No idea how you manage to keep up with the blogging whilst still on holiday.
Thanks Marie A huge compliment from a ‘master blogger’ Marie. Thanks so much. We’re in wet and cold Calgary at the moment and are due to meet up with Steve, Lily and Sarah on Sunday. Where are you in Russia? x
Good Luck Just wishing you merry group of ??? (couldn't think of anything appropriate - just too difficult to describe) best wishes for your trip. Hope the weather is kind to you and it's not too hot. Take on board plenty of liquid (at least make some of it water). Look forward to reading all about it. Cheers
