“The core of mans’ spirit comes from new experiences.” — Chris McCandless

I am no Alexander Supertramp, or Christopher McCandless, that is for sure. None the less he is an idol of mine and Into the Wild is my all time favourite film and a lot of it rings true in my mind. If you haven’t seen it, please i beg you, go and watch it just once! You never know what thoughts it might bring.

Like Supertramp, I have always kept a dairy. Well you could call it a diary but its more like a messy scrapbook. Full of random things, drawings, thoughts, photos… you name it. But as a student of the 21st century (and because i can never find a pen) i thought it was high time i joined my contemporaries in the world of technology!

Not going to promise you anything here will be of interest, or even worth reading, and certainly creative genius probably won’t come into it, but it shall be a small insight in to my life! My life as a 20(ish) year old student that has the travelling bug! I love music, philosophy and so on. But business is my major and travel is my life!

I hope if nothing else these random ramblings of a, somewhat nomadic, student provide some affection and perhaps even provoke like Supertramp did for me!

Happy reading!

So with all the best intentions I started writing this blog about my travels and two weeks later….still only one post! Well finally here’s the next. I am sitting here in what is to be my new bedroom for the two and a half months, a let me tell you, its been a bit of an adventure getting here! Left mums house on Saturday headed down to the good old Brands Hatch for another “exciting” weekend of racing, (at least that’s what Nick –el demi-padre thinks, mum and i? Not so sure!) After the usual jam on the M25 we finally make the half an hour journey in a great time of….three hours!!! Why is it that people think that if we all keep changing lanes we will get there any faster!? Guys it’s a traffic ... read more

So its three days now since I left my home in Cheltenham and drove the 3 hours back to Mums house. The start of my summer adventures. I always dread leaving Cheltenham and heading back. There is always a slight reservation attached to making my way back to the family home. You remember that feeling you got as a child when you really didn’t want to do something!? Kicking and dragging your heels all the way. I can’t say that the drive is necessarily an easy one, but straight forward none the less. The first part is the road to Oxford, such stunning views, each time I drive down it I wish I could stop and just look. Simple breath. Each corner you take another beautiful view emerges almost smirking at you, as it surely knows ... read more
