China wonderful Nature & History : Discovering religious Sites, Ethnic minorities and Superstitions in China Going out on a trip for a few months in China, Ben and Noemie will be trying to discover as much as they can. Ethnic groups, local food, festivals, holy montains, etc. Though, Communist China is declared to be atheistic, there are numerous temples and religious sites across its territory, so we'd like to discover majors sites such as the Huangshan sacred mountains (黃山,Huangshan) , the Longmen grottoes near Luyoang (龍門石窟, lóngmén shíkû ) the Giant Buddha of Le Shan (樂山大佛, Lèshân Dàfó). Since Noémie speaks Mandarin, she'll be asking people along the way about the meaning for local people of the sites. Meanwhile, mute Ben will take pictures of the point of interest.
