nikki - this is just amazing. i really, really want to go now! it seems like you met really nice people, saw great things and had lot of laughs of course. glad your back though!
Love it! wow Nic, Another amazing blog. Cant wait to see all of your pictures and hear more stories. I am sad that this is the last one. I looked forward to them :)
Love it! Nikki Poo- I love your blogs. You are such a wonderful story teller. I feel like I was there and wish that I was. These are experiences you will be able to tell your kids about -- but not before I have kids first!
Love you!
Amazing Nic-This was a wonderful blog. It brought me to tears. I am so proud of you and I love getting to experience this with you through your blog. You are a celebrity over there--our own little Angelina Jolie.
I love you sis!
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this! You'll never, ever forget this experience and you've inspired me! I think I might go see my little sponsor child in Equador!
They have good tactics If you haven't been "moved in on" before, it's a doozy. In Cairo we had squatters called Boab's who are literally the heads of families in carboard-box teepees that you pay to run off the really bad ones. They lay on the guilt and make you feel like you are taking their land when the actual land owner is some big-time Egyptian who in the grand tradition of landlords doesn't care for either of your plight. I actually snagged Mandy with the persistence of a good squatter, but that's another story altogether. And besides you guys always had food, water, and warm blankets for me.
I've been there Yea Nicole, my mom is from East Saint Louis and frankly, if it's not the Cardinals that suck, it's the weather. You should have told them you were St. Lunatics and convinced them to chill out because Nelly really is big back in the world.
miss you Nic, your blogs are nothing short of entertaining- I've added jan and kris to the distribution, as they love hearing of your adventures in Senegal. Love you!!
A little ditty Nic, please share what song you listened to for 4 hours? Can you sing both the original version and the techno version now? :) Perhaps if you learned enough at your drum lesson to beat-box while one of your roommates sing the lyrics?
Can't wait for your next Blog!!!
Quad Pro hey Nic, another adventerous journey... it's sounds so amazing to even be in your situations.. trying to get a 7 seater car sounds histerical. confusing, but histerical... cant wait for another blog.. these get me through the day.. your pictures are great too!
Ps.. you look like a pro on that quad! hehe!
Lay off the Mangos!! I think you should listen to the doctors! And try not to talk to strangers. But continue letting the maid shower and guards watch football on your tv- that's nice. This blog is going to make us all experts on Senegal! Although it makes life here in NYC seem pretty uneventful. Keep blogging - I feel like I'm experiencing everything with you. What a truly amazing time in your life!!
Nicole I love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cole you crack me up! That blog was written with such attn. to detail that I felt as though I was there with you. But the best part of all was that I could hear you laughing saying Can! I love you and miss you. I called you on your b-day a while back and heard from someone where you were. You sound like you are having a good time. I hope you are. love always Candice
Wholley! I wish your blog could have video too, I want more pictures and more blogging!!!! Don't worry we are not having any fun here at home without you, I promise. Although its not fair because it looks like you are having lots of fun!!! Can you please try to bring a Senegalese friend home with you?
Nic, sounds fantastic! I think all you need now is to meet a famous movie star and you'll be half of the next brangilina! (Do they have botox there? You'll need that for your lips. :) Keep blogging!
