Thanks Paul, it's always great to see your name popping up in emails etc. I'm loving the places and people you get to meet because you're cycling, it just wouldn't happen otherwise - you would be straight past on the bus or train etc. no ch ance to stop, talk, take photos etc, I am going to try and improve the photos though, they're a bit slapdash...
Love hearing about your travels through the east Clare. Very impressed with the cycling. It's a great way to travel. The pictures look amazing. Sorry I've been a bit lax in checking your blogs. It's great to hear from you again. You're an i nspiration. All the best with cycling through Vietnam etc.
How wonderful to meet people at that level and not as a tourist Clare! It is amazing how friendly people are! Someone was talking on the radio here about mental health in different cultures and apparently we westerners are in the minorit y in the world and the way we think is strange and unique The acronym is WEIRD Western Educated -- Rich and Democratised Can't remember what I stands for but our attitude is not good for our mental health!
"The boat was bent doubled and I was thrown overboard! I had the ride of my life though I can tell you, way down the rapids, bobbing up and under as the river threw me around, thankfully one of the safety kayaks was after me straight away, when my life jacket brought me up I was screaming blue murder" Crazy Clare! That sounds horrendous, not 'fun' at all! :-)
