22 March 2012, I arrived in the Beijing Capital International airport; alone and secretly petrified. Being a shy, introverted twenty five year old girl who wouldn’t say boo to a blind, geriatric chicken, let alone attempt to find my way through a Chinese speaking airport, ask for any directions or find my way to my hotel my nerves were on frayed ends. I love travelling, I love going away and exploring new places, seeing new sites and experiencing how the rest of the world lives.
