Hello my friends! Marc, Nerine: Well, I was wondering what you might be up to. Thanks for sharing your interesting, adventurous life. The pics are beautiful and you jogged a 50 year old memory in me of Perce Rock. I lived in New Brunswick when I was a child. The boat looks great, but you will need a bigger one when you decide to sail over here and I'll meet you in Phuket. God bless you in your travels, Stephen
We're heading home, too Hi guys: Nerine ...fantastic job on the blog. We are really looking forward to enjoying the photo show soon as we start to plan our trip for next winter. You have inspired us both and put the security issues in prospective, especially for David. We are just winding up our winter in Phoenix. Had a great time with friends and family. Check out my Facebook page photo albums for an update on the family ... kids and grandkids. We are planning on leaving next week so we can be home for Easter. Apparently they have been enjoying a very early spring ...my sister-in-law's magnolia is in full bloom and the golf course David works at has been open and busy since March 16.
Our calendar is pretty open for April so let's get a date setup ... come and stay for the night ... the guest suite is always available.
See you soon, Jeanne and Dave
Awesome photos Enjoying your photos with my Saturday coffee. Tell Mark I really like his wave shots. I've been trying to get some good ones at the Scarborough Bluffs (see Facebook), but it was a lot colder there! What a great adventure you are having. See you soon, we are missing you at BNMs.
Wow! What a trip you are having...enjoy sitting in the comfort of my house and reading your travels and adversities! Mark you are an incredible photographer! Amazing....thanks for including us!
Again, Nerine and Mark: what beautiful country, how varied. The clarity of your photography has been welcome and appreciated throughout your travel's blog entries. Have a safe and, dare I say, speedy trip home.
Phoenix Update Just got back from an early round of golf ...it's going to be 85F here today. February has been very busy but lots of fun. Lots of golf, visits with the kids and newest grandbaby (check out my Facebook for pics), a trip to Lake Havasu with cruising, now 5th wheel trailer, friends highlighted by a great jetboat run up the Colorado River and sighting a family of 6 mountain sheep, a visit from my brother and his wife who managed to do more sightseeing in one week of touring with their rental car then we have done in 3 winters here, and catching a minor but aggravating cold each. We're off to Sacramento next week to visit with Andrea and the family and then it will be time play some more golf before starting to think about the trip home after Easter weekend. Really enjoying your blog and pictures. David is getting much more enthusiatic about our trip ... thanks for sharing.
Still astounding I had never thought of a vacation in South Africa before. As a continent Africa sure gets a bad rating... Looks like you are finding some spectacular places to visit. I'm sitting at my desk at work having lunch and enjoying your trip. Were there any great white sharks in the area? Not something I'd like to dive with. Thanks again for posting.
Aren't those mtns behind the "hair dresser's salon", beautiful? And here I was vacuuming and washing our van when for $6 I could have had it done (less airfare) better than I had energy for.
Had a nice trip ystrday down thru Port Charlotte with Joyce Trish and Barb.
Con't to enjoy what seems to be a fantastic trip. Keep those pix coming. Tom
Wow! Amazing pictures! It must be so strange coming across all these animals just wandering freely-we are so used to only seeing them caged. Had the ladies dinner last night-missed you NW! Jane took pictures of the food for you! I was not able to show them your pics -Mike was using the computer-I did send them your funny email though-it was really good-reminded me of that story of going to the gyn with the glitter-do you remember that one? Is it still ridiculously hot? How is the food? You are looking fabulous by the way-good job! We are getting some snow today-not much though. Went to the doc this week for another checkup-all is good!! Nance ox
Hey there! The elephants and me have a lot in common. Eat and poop all day long.
When the heck do they sleep?
Were at Mt. Sinai on Tuesday. Cat scan and X-rays were clear!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a great trip you're having, and your pictures are fabulous! It's hard to believe you get to see all these animals up so close. We're vicariously enjoying south Africa along with you. (And you're looking pretty fabulous yourself, Nerine!)
I have been following all your blogs. This is a wonderful trip....so what part of the world do you still need to explore? Will we ever see you again???
Hey guys ... looks like fun although the bed would be more then we could handle. The scenery is fabulous ... so glad you are doing this trip before us ... David is feeling much more comfortable with his "safety and security" concerns. The weather is warming up here so the golfing happens earlier in the morning now. Spent the weekend in San Diego with Amy and Bill and our newest granddaughter, Ella. I'll post some pics on Facebook soon. Really enjoying the blog ... will have to set up something similar for next year ... easier to send pics I think. My brother and his wife are arriving tonight ... and we are already through 6 weeks of our winter ... the half way point ... it has gone really fast. I expect the last half will go equally fast ... a trip to Sacramento to see the other grandkids and then it will be getting time to think about getting home (mid- April) to do the taxes. Looking forward to seeing you soon. Jeanne and Dave
Fabrics That pic of the crafts, was that fabric that had been painted....the bowls looked cool too. Sure enjoy the Blog, even with goofy captions...tee hee! The weirdness of cyberspace.
Captioning is no problem; they come thru clearly/unjumbled. They're so helpful (captions). What wild, magnificent landscapes. Having traveled a bit around our N. America, I can think of no parallels. Love the "camper."
Lucky! It's a wonderful thing in this world when you can still go to such an amazing tourist attraction and virtually have it to yourselves..Cherish the memories! I'm happy you've had a safe and great trip.Cheers
Loving the blog! Hey guys ... your trip sounds awesome ... and has us starting our planning for next year. Great pictures ... love the camera Mark ... would love to play with one of those for sure.
Laundry day here after a busy weekend ... Mormon Tabernacle Choir concert, Arizona statehood 100 year celebrations, golf and the International Hoop Dancing competition at the Heard Museum of Native American History with our trailer friends (formerly cruisers) who are staying close by. Off to San Diego to meet the newest grand baby this weekend coming.
Keep posting the blog and pics, Jeanne and Dave
What a fabulous trip you are having - those are some great wildlife pictures but I can only imagine how much more impressive it is to see the real thing, and up so close! Looking forward to seeing Mark's "pro" photos too when you get back. Is he planning to upgrade his camera to one like that?
