Welcome to China! Ha, loved your first blog...sounds like you did well, although lucky to be lost in Hong Kong, lots of english speakers there! I cant wait to go back in August. The tall issue. I hadnt realised you were so tall. Im nearly 6 foot myself, and the chinese in Guangdong are famously teeny weeny. Im in Shaghai now and its another world away and everyone is bigger than me - huzzah! Hope everything else goes smoothly..be careful in Zhuhai - its a cowboy town!
Thanks N-A-T-E! Just a quick note Nate to let you know I don't often enjoy reading postings as much as I enjoyed reading yours! Your writing is brilliant! Don't change a thing. Your writing style is a perfect blend of facts, reaction, photos, and humor! What an awesome insight into what you are doing and the environment you are doing it in. I am very appreciative that your Mom passed your link along. (By the way, good call in NOT telling your Mom exactly what happened on your trip over until AFTER you were safely there! Stuff like what you experienced has a tendency to freak us parents out!) Your pictures are great too. I'll look forward to checking every now and then to see how you're doing. Take care.

Meester NBA Nate that's too cool. I think mom has rubbed off on me because I got panicky just reading about the Hong Kong ferry stuff but when it was happening I swear I was the one saying "ahh don't worry about Nate, he can pull anything off" and it appears you can. For example, Basketball in China.
I love you, you big tall freak of nature. Go eat a good Chinese dumpling for me.
My name is Nathan. N-A-T-H-A-N. I am from Ohio. I have lived in the midwestern United States my entire life. I used to live in Zhongshan China. Now I'm living in California.... full info
