I like Chinese Hi Kevvo, Thanks for the blog. Silk worm on a stick has now been permanently removed from my bucket list. Caroline tells me you've now settled in to the Nirvana of life with mum. Suppose it makes anything on a stick look pretty good! Cheers, Ed
Day One You Kiwis certainly know how to have a good time!
Mate, the only thing which would piss me off would be that 'smog'. (One of the reasons we left the UK!)
However, having said that, 'Go for it'!!
Have a great one, mate and 'blog on'.
Beijing I always knew you'd be a colourful paper belt twirler Kevin. And we're envious of the Peking Duck dinner!!
Great to hear your news. Ro and Terry ;-)
Hiya! Fantastic pictures. Sounds like you haven't caught pleumonic fever yet! Hey thanks for the advice to just register my number on installing Word to "Very Tiny". That's all it took. I am completely bogged down teaching but still manage gym with Caroline. Have fun!!!! Kathy
Forbidden City Wow! the Forbidden City looks VERY inviting! What beautiful colours and smiling faces - watch that "podge" my friend - yes, I agree, you should have got a certificate of proficiency - beautiful wrist movement going on there! Thanks, Bev
Am only now having a chance to read your Christmas blog. Poor H having his car stolen but am glad he got it back....am somehow curious to know if it was a "native"...am I PC enuf here? Jim and Mel would want to know. Rossdear, too. And that poor Butch Cassidy....such a sweet face. Hope his libido doesn't match his horn.....
Had such fun talking with you yesterday...Tori left today and her car was loaded to the gills (fortunately darkened windows) and she was getting very owly about being an hour behind. She finally declared she looked like the Clampetts! and it took me five minutes to stop laughing, no exaggeration.
Love to you all,
Moi
Love your blog I have so enjoyed reading all about your adventures. What a fantastic idea sharing your journey with all of us. Your jorunal is a keeper for those of us wanting to do a trip similar in the future.
15 Knights Hi Jean-Clement. We too were shaking and almost in tears by the end of the match. I think that France wanted the game more than the NZ team. Viva Le France......... Caroline says that she will be rooting for France when they play England.
I'am shaking I'm shaking looking for this evening in Cardiff.
Do you know how many years would take to Michel angelo to paint the ceiling of the chapelle Sixtine?
12 years long!...
2 years to paint the ceiling, and 10 more to lift of the painting which flew in his shaft
Even better than your French blogs! I continue to be amazed that you take the time to do this and are so articulate as well. I didnt try to get ahold of Harrison in Auckland as I thought he had already left to meet you. Communication breakdown, I guess, sorry for that. Have fun and ciao! from Chris
Greetings Hi- Everything I've been studying for the last 6 months!
So what is PPO?
I really do enjoy the blog. Easy travel for me.
Glad you're all 3 having a good time and H., I'm glad you liked the bday gift. You're only 16 once!
The Knight Jean-Clement - thank you for that bit of information, however you will need 15 knights to defeat the All-Blacks. Unfortunately, we're not getting much coverage of the Rugby in Italy, but hope that this will change as we progress from the opening rounds. Say hi to the family for us. - Kevin, Caroline and Harrison
knight Is this knight in PONTCHARRA? If the answer is yes, then his name is Le chevalier BAYARD, his nickname is " the knight without fear and reproach" because he won a battle against a big army in 1515 in MARIGNAN Italy. And as he is always alive, he will play for France against NZ for the 1/4 final or final. He his the only chance we have to defeat the all blacks.
am typing this on a very wet Sunday so know you are not missing us or the rain - your trip in Nice reminds us of the time we spent in that area with our son Ben - loved that area, Cant wait to hear all the tales when you get back
