Bolivia Fascinating to read about your travels in such exciting detail. I admire it because I don't write much beyond a few lines and mostly pictures on Facebook.
Some great restaurants in Colombia, Peru, however didn’t have time in Bolivia Ed, the food has been excellent. I’ve googled Fine dining and been very pleased with the ones I’ve picked from the list. Cartagena has some very good chef’s
My, my! Hello Kevin. Thank you for your blog link. Very interesting as always. What a cultural shock, tho you have been to such places before, so I guess it's not such a surprise to you. So much of the world is poor. It's so easy to live in our little comfort bubble and forget this. Good luck on your future adventures. X
Medellin! Very interesting write-up! Gives me a real feel of the place. My son Sabir had gone there last year and enjoyed it very much, including paragliding.
Adventurous Hi Kev, Columbia sounds fascinating, and the food must be delicious. I hope you're right and the bad old days are over for these poor guys. They sure had a really terrifying few years! Happy travels, Ed
Rajput architecture, not Mughal This is classic Rajput architecture of the Hindu Rajput kingdoms of Rajasthan, which predate the arrival of the islamic invaders. It is not Mughal architecture. The modern India state of Rajasthan was comprised almost entirely of Hindu kingdoms. Please correct the labels on your photos from Jodhpur and other palaces and forts of Rajasthan. Thanks
Argentina Bula Kev! Finally got to reading your blog and enjoyed tremendously. Had to look up "staid" which my dictionary said meant sedate and unadventurous. But the bars with the girls sounded a bit different. assume you were being sarcastic. hehe Anyways, all is good here with my new family. We're half way through school break of 2 months. Don't have any plans to travel unfortunately as no permit to go to USA where my Mom would pay the tickets and no money to go elsewhere ourselves. It's been beautiful weather. Today first time I turned on air con. Guess summer is here with rain a bit last 3 nights but sunny days. Have Christmas decorations up for first time ever at Sigasiga. Cut pine tree off side of road in Labasa. My last email to you bounced back. Take care brah! Best regards to Malcolm.
Fun Mate, you guys! I bet you’re getting up at 6 and having cold showers every day, too! You don’t mention the weather - comfortable? Don’t they get lots of rain there? Anyway, enjoy, if you do. We’re still dry, here and temps are getting up to the high 30’s with summer upon us. Keep it up! D.
Mess in South America. Is it such a mess in South America? I knew they burnt the subway in Santiago. But in France there is no subway to burn. All lines are closed because of an unlimited strike.
Berlin? I am happy to see you two are still blogging during your travels. I couldn't even know about most of these spots without a tour guide, so that's what you are doing for me. I really enjoy friends who stay in touch in this way, it is fun. Do you know where Bremen is? What's left of our family live and work there. They own a shipyard there, build ships.
