Camping the Outback
What a once in a lifetime experience. Nothing better than wall to wall wildflowers. We are glad you can add hammering tent pegs to your resume. Hearing the stories make it all worth it.

Outback
I suppose the test is whether you would have the experience over again ...and YES I would love to do it again ...it made such a difference to be with experienced Aussies campers and be able to fit into the team.

Sure is different
20 years ago all that was there was me, the bloke I went there with and the car we drove in. That was all. It was us and we were all by ourselves there. /Ake

Five in WA Outback
Wonderful to read you are embracing the wide open spaces, colours and hospitality of the Western Australian Outback, Lynne. Also good that you are spending time rather than rushing. Rushing is not the Aussie way. Enjoy the West. Looking forward to when you hit the East...but hey...no need to rush.

In the slow lane !
Hi Dave It feel like a real privilege to have been able to do this camping trip and to meet these Aussies who live and work on the land And hear their stories . Loving it ?

Beautiful!
I have so much enjoyed reading this, Lynne! I am also amazed at what a remote and essentially Aussie experience you have had! A real adventure and exploration! Your descriptions and the photos really capture it well! About ten years ago I did something similar, but I didn't camp. Good on you for going the whole hog!

I visited PD 20 years ago
You're bringing back some memories. They are fond memories. I visited Pinnacles Desert in the 90-ies when I made a three month trip in Australia. That was more than 20 years ago. I'd like to go back. /Ake

What’s new
Ake , there is a new interpretive visitor centre and also a shop there now ... which I guess wasn’t there 20 years ago. And lots of car / coach parking so I think there are lots of tours from Perth.. it was the only place we saw a large group of tourists .

Happy and on the road again
We loved the Pinnacles. Very surreal. When we visited we didn't encounter many people. I think there were only two other cars in the park. It was lovely. The wildflowers sound awesome, can't wait to hear more. Farm to table ... you are living the life! Loved your starry nights.

Stars
It was very special to be out in the bush at night with such a black sky and the stars , the moon wasn’t rising till about midnight.

Five go...
That series was one of my most favourite childhood reads... and I was waiting for someone to get lost, throw a tantrum, foil a robbery or steal some food :) Looking forward to more of your Australian adventures!

.....On an adventure
Well we drove through the area where there was an earthquake in WA yesterday ... does that count as part of the adventure . Fortunately didn’t feel a thing .... after my experience being caught up in theChristchurch Earthquake I can do without that sort of excitement! Hope to see you when I get to Tassie.

Chapter 1 -response
I'm beginning to feel that I should have come with for the whole time! However, reading your blog and studying the photos makes it come to life. What an amazing start to your time down under!

Giving Advice
Hello, I think that you had a nice tour in Viet Nam. How do you feel about Vietnamese's cultural food. I think if you have chance to visit Viet Nam again, it will be more exciting if you could enjoy more food or sitting on the back of a motorcycle driver and join the atmosphere <3

Halong Bay
Nice hat. Your terrific blog provided us some great memories. Loved following along on this trip. Too many horns in Vietnam. So glad you made it to the water puppets. We truly enjoyed that cultural experience.

On my wishlist but still to do Lynne. Ticked off on your list so good on you. And if you had not discovered pho before...something to look for at home to remember your fantastic trip by.
