Hello fellow Coloradans... we live in Woodland Park and coincidentally have just started Following XploreAsia...who you may have run across in Burma...and am now Following you Also coincidentally, I went to school in Dalat from 1956 to 1964...glad you liked the city. The last time I was there was in 2009 when I took my son so that he could see where I spent some time as a child. I've blogged all my trips since 1949. I look forward to reading your blogs. Drop us a line when you get home.
Namhsan? Hey Some of the scenes from your pictures look familiar. A friend and rode from Hsipaw to Namhsan. Is this the same thing you guys did?
Love the blog, nice stuff!
Love to see your fun! I am really enjoying following you and Philip's journey. Pres. Obama is in Myanmar this morning. If he makes his way your direction, tell him "howdy" and congratulations from Larry and Val!
This incredible to see. In all of my art history, I never saw this side of the country. Asia was always discussed but never left China for the other far east cultures. You have broaden my horizons with you adventures into worlds I have never thought to enter. I know you have more to show so I look forward to seeing more when you arrive home. Love to you both, Mom
Hi Lucy!
Hope you had a great birthday. . .We have so many pictures to show you upon our return! We can't wait to put together a slideshow and tell you all of our stories! xo j & p
Your journaling is incredible. I almost feel like I am with you. I may not be as tired as you at the end of your jaunts but truly enjoy them. I marvel at your ability to eat what you can and be well with it. As you endure and enjoy together the experience is endearing to you both. Love and miss you!
Yes I frickin love that post. Reminds me of every traveling experience we've had in the developing world. Sometimes a sane bus ride from point a to point b is the hardest thing to find in the world. Glad you made it eventually.
Hi Hello! i'll be in myanmar in December, would you mind telling me where you stayed in thandwe? Is it hard to find places to stay after you land? Thanks so much and enjoy your travels!
Stayed at the memento. Affordable but not luxurious. Better to book before you go. . They'll pick you ups at the airport. They respond to emails pretty quickly.
Hi Jenn and Phil---Wonderful blogs--Burma sounds idyllic! Love all the pictures, and all the info--I wish I could taste the fresh seafood! Looking forward to hearing about your next stops, but what could beat Burma--no wonder Didisaid that it was one of her favorite places----XXXXXXXXXXX. Mommer
hey, hey I love hearing about all the different modes of transportation and eating options. You are a great writer, I could picture the whole scene. Especially, the foot massage- I hope you are getting lots of other amazing $3 massages. I think I got one everyday that I was there.
BON VOYAGE!! I miss you already! I hope you have an amazing time together exploring and connecting and discovering everything you can about each other and the beautiful places you are visiting! I'm excited to be able to come along on your journey with you via this blog! Love you both! Kitty
