Welcome Back We are Proud of all of you It was wonderful to meet the hale and hearty travellers at 04:00 this morning. Even the rain held off as the bus whipped up to St. John's Church and everyone deplaned with all their baggage intact. Believe in the houses of all 14, we were up until the sun was high looking at the souvenirs and retelling of stories. What a wonderful adventure and inspiring commitment of time from the 14 team members. Congratulations
thankyou Thanks so much for all the wonderful, detailed blog postings. They mean so much to us. We are so looking forward to all your stories when you get home!
What an adventure ! I have been reading your blog daily and am heartened to know that God has blessed you on so many levels. One can never have too many construction skills; meet too many interesting people; learn to cope with the hot weather; learn a new language; adjust to an unfamiliar culture. I hope you are taking lots of pictures. I am certain your work will encourage others to take on a project like this one as you become our churchs' ambassadors for hands on outreach. Be well. See you when you all return to Canada. Rev. Karen
School Location Can you give us coordinates of where the school you are building is located? We are following your footsteps with Google Map but can't find Cinocera anywhere. Kepp up the great work everyone! Much love from rainy Dunrobin!
Message to Elizabeth Sandor Hi Elizabeth - we are following your trip on the travel blog. Enjoy the time there and stay well. We'll look forward to hearing all about it when you get home. Sandra, Bob, Lindsay & Katherine
Message from Rev. Coxon, from before you left What great ambassadors each and everyone of you have been and will be, as you head into the most exciting adventure of you lives; You and your important work are in the hearts, minds and prayers of everyone in the Parish of March! God's blessings on you all
Building an Orchard of Knowledge Hola Everyone. Your journey so far has excited a lot of people, including business executives, who are world travellers. They are impressed that 9 youth and 5 adults made the decision to spend some, if not all of their vacation time to this worthy cause. Everyone is following your progress and adventures closely, rushing to your blog even before breakfast. You are building an orchard of knowledge. We commend your efforts. Keep up the good work.
We wish to thank everyone, who contributed time, money and various resources to make this adventure possible. This project will be a source of strength and confidence for challenges in the future. Bring back the "gallo pinto" as well as other recipes please. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
School Building Size? How big is the school that you are building? Will it be completed by the time you leave or is there another group coming to continue your work?
wow! Way to go! it is inspiring to see this work happening! All because a group of people not only talk the talk, but actually walk the walk. We take school for granted in this country. Only seeing these photos and reading the blog do we begin to understand that it's not like that everywhere.
Hello From Dunrobin! Hi Everyone! We are following your journey online and sending you our best wishes for a great trip. We are proud of all of you and look forward to seeing you and hearing your stories when you return. With much love, The Davidson Family

Good to hear some news Glad to hear that everyone arrived safely even though their luggage didn't! Looking forward to hearing more about the group's activities and how Vance and Rev. Jess are doing.
MissionNicaragua is on the ground in ...... Nicaragua!!! Pam sent me an email to say that they are in Managua and the travel went well. Except for some luggage that stayed behind in Miami and took a different flight. They were on their way out to have pizza and go see a volcano. I guess there are some exciting things to see in Nicaragua.
MissionNicaragua has left Miami, heading for Managua I havent' had anything yet from the automated email service, but I checked on the AA website and found: American Airlines Flight 969 Departed: Miami, Florid Departure Time: 11:31 AM Gate: E9 Will Arrive: Managua, Nicaragua Arrival Time: 11:42 AM Gate: 6 Since Managua is 2 hours behind us, my next update will come around 2pm today. Regards, Gord C.
MissionNicaragua is in Miami airport According to the American Airlines automated email update service, they left Montreal at 6:17am today and landed in Miami at 9:41am. Their next flight, from Miami to Managua, leaves Miami at 11:15am and lands at 11:45am local time in Nicaragua. I'll update again when I get further status from the automated service. Regards, Gord C.
MissionNicaragua has started! Just got done texting with Pam in Montreal airport. They are boarding their flight and should be in Managua later this afternoon. I'll keep everyone updated as quickly as I can.
Tonight - are you packed? Tonight we gather at St. John's for our official Send-Off! We'll gather at the church with all of our luggage packed and ready to go. At Midnight we'll share a Eucharist together and pray for our trip. It will be a very special moment as anticipation and excitement will be high!
Then we hope on a bus at 1am for Montreal airport. So, not much sleep tonight, but by tomorrow afternoon we'll be in Managua, Nicaragua. The heat will be intense and it is also their rainy season!
What an exciting adventure!
